One day an old woman walked into a shop and got some dog food, she went to pay for it and the cashier said you can't buy that dog food we need evidence that you have a dog, so she bought in her dog and she got the dog food. The next day the same old lady went to get some cat food and the cashier said you can't have that cat food we need evidence that you have a cat, so she went home and got her cat and she got the cat food. Next day the same old lady went in again and she had a box, she told the cashier to put her finger in it, so she did. She said it felt warm and soft, the little old lady then said now you're satisfied can I have some toilet paper please!

President Mahama has not stolen tax payers monies. Unlike Kuffour who used tax payers monies to renovate his home, President Mahama has done nothing near that. He has only made investments with our monies by building top notch facilities. To provide decent housing for the security agencies, 168 housing units with related infrastructure have been built in Team. Work is progressing steadily on the construction of 368 housing units under the second phase of the project at an estimated cost of 101.2 million cedis.

The NDC govt is certainly accounting to the people and Ghanaians know it. For the cost of the projects, the NPP MP's must stop sleeping on the job because they know all the costs. They sat on the parliamentary select committees which did all the fiscal analysis before the projects started. In effect we can only thank the NDC for the 1260 CHPS compounds which are attending to the health needs of Ghanaians.

If you have ample evidence which implicates the president of any wrong doing kindly report to the police and stop these baseless accusations. In all humility we know he is #ChangingLives and his administration has removed 35,000 ghost names from the pay roll of the NSS thus saving the country over 140,000 cedis. A feat the NPP could not achieve in 8 years.

If the NPP did anything illegal, the sensible thing for any responsible govt to do is to interrogate them, arrest and charge them before the courts. These useless and myopic partisanpositions do not help the course of our development. We should always insist on accountability, irrespective of your political affiliation. We as citizens must always defend the interest of the state so you party sympathizers should see yourselves as Ghanaians first.

Why do politicians justify themselves by pointing to the action or inaction of previous governments. Governments usually attain power because of dissatisfaction with a predecessor, therefore it is irresponsible to justify your incompetence by pointing to someone else. All governments have a duty to run a clean ship and must act to purge abuses even in their own ranks. The likes of Dzifa Attivor should not be walking free when they by implication admit to their crime. Another case is the change of the EC Logo, the authority of the Republic over that institution was set aside by suggesting that the coat of arms implies that the EC comes under the Republic. But that is as it should be. It is an organ of the Republic and not a commercial enterprise. That suggestion set the provisions of the 1992 constitution aside. The Republic is not the government in power. The government itself is an organ of the Republic. It has a duty to protect the Republic within the context of the constitution, and that includes ensuring that no state organ undermines the authority of the State. What this means is that the President ceases on assumption of office to be a functionary of a political party and from then on his sole duty is to the republic and not to his party. The president wears two hats and must keep them separate even though he is seeking re-election. So it is important that he sees the action of the EC as a threat to the republic by one of it's organs and act to reverse that decision to change the logo. He owes that duty to the Republic as the chief executive.
