Another major issue that I want to bring to the attention of the people is that; if we look at the flagstaff house today, it does not reflect the people of Ghana in terms of religion. “We are in this country living peacefully and nicely; Christians and Muslims. It is a fact that methane gas is produced from rubbish dumps. In some exceptional circumstances this can cause an explosion. The BNI and Police should simply conduct tests for explosives.

Bombs are dropped in areas where they can cause the most damage, not in shitting areas to cause debris flying.

Those who dumped the sack full of the stuff might not have had any clue what their actions could result in. But it is very possible that the site of the dump might have had other chemicals already in the surface soil that could have acted on the content of the sack.

This is a must be a huge lesson to our folks that it isn't everywhere that we have dump everything.

We should strictly enforce our environmental protection Laws that prohibit illegal dumping and littering. And if we do not have such specific Laws to protect lives, property and our shared environment, then this incident must be an impetus for our Legislature to quickly get to work on that before a much worse situation erupts.

With the rising incidents of illegal and clandestine private Militia formation as with the recent case of Akufo-Addo Mafia, it would be most criminally negligent on the part of our Legislature and Law Enforcement Agencies to ignore this admonishment.

A similar incident could well be perpetrated against innocent Civilians to create violent tensions in the country and be blamed on some quasi-innocent mishandling of Fertilizers.
