It's funny, I mean politics. Why JJ Rawlings never saw this coming, beats my mind. A week after coming out to condemn one of his own, Ms Attivor for her ethnocentric remarks against NPP, JJ has been hit in the face by no less a personality than the Vice Presidential candidate of the NPP,Dr Alhaji Bawumia himself. JJ may choose to ignore his remarks, but it is a dirty slap in his face by Dr Bawumia. So much for JJ's sermon on decency in politics. In the words of Ursula Owusu, thanks to Dr Nkrumah's free education, Northerners like President Mahama should be tending goats and sheep in the Savana lands and not be ruling Ghana. This was echoed by Osarfo Marfo. Now we have another 'goat herder' let loose to throw in a religious slant in the political discourse. The brother from Walewale, is that what the NPP chose you to do? To pit Muslims against Christians? Is that what all this is about? So Bawumia has become the Islamic warrior of NPP propagating Arabic culture and Muslim equalization in the seat of Government? This is how Jihadim begins. The UP/NPP has always fielded a Northerner as Vice Presidential candidate, not necessarily a Muslim as such. It is by coincidence that such people happen to be Muslims. I blame JJ Rawlings for his sudden U-turn to dine with the avowed enemy. Who has done more for Muslims in this country than NDC, under JJ Rawlings, and now JDM? Who gave Muslims a national Holiday? Who built the Mosque at Abossey Okai? Who created the Office of the Chief Imam? Who has provided the Hajj village? Remember that Muslims are found in all parts of Ghana, so the development of any part of the country also affects Muslims. And before I end, JJ should be scratching his head that he never saw this coming. Was Bawumia's father, a Muslim not the Chairman of the Council of State during Rawlings time? Being the Vice President in NPP under Kuffour, what did Aliu do for Muslims? He was not even respected among the NPP hierarchy, his position having being usurped first by Jake and later by Mpiani, both Chiefs of Staff. Please, Bawumia, you might as well bow out quietly from the NPP after the impending defeat, and concentrate on your banking business where you are more useful than in Politics, you have proven beyond all doubt to be a novist with your Muslim goofs. Not even the Muslims are impressed with this desperate efforts of Bawumia, the cry baby.

Believe it or not, all religions were crafted by humans in their attempt to explain how and why natural events take place and how God wants humans to behave not attract his anger through diseases etc. Yes, diseases were interpreted to be as a result of a sin; metal problems were associated with demons; but today we have gotten rid of some diseases and have other under control, not through the religious believes, but through pragmatic efforts through scientific research and development. No wonder Africa is retrogressing: you can imagine where we are heading to if leaders themselves are so ignorant, stupid and foolish to the point that they think their country's economic progress depends on believing in the Bible or the Quaran. Please, let's wake, come out of this religious nonsense and take a new direction to solve the numerous problems that Africa is facing. The Americans, British, French, Australians, Canadians etc. did not stop the spread of ebola with the Bible or the Quaran. It is not also through prayers that these countries used to come out with medications for diseases, airplanes, TV systems, smartphones, satellites, spaceships (just to mention a few) that you are enjoying. Am actually disheartened when the likes of peace council peace council and former President Rawlings have all gone blank on this issue. They lambasted Attivor unfairly for what was actually misconstrued. There only one thing we have realised, when it is the NDC, it is dark, but not same with the NPP. This hypocrisy must be discouraged at anytime. Regardless who is involved.
