Sometimes people have no choice but to take care of business themselves because some police people cannot be trusted, I know that there are large numbers of police personnel who are very honest and hard working, on the other hand there are policemen who are straight up criminals who take bribes and release criminals.

There is a case at Akropong court where a policeman named Cpl. David Megbunya released the same thief John Becker Agbezudow twice, Cpl. Megbunya, of Aburi police station, who was the lead investigator in a case arrested Agbezudow who was accused of stealing land documents from two people, one of the victims is a retired Chief inspector of police who also reported the crime, the other victim is a dear friend of mine, Agbezudow was granted police bail, he absconded/ran away, police refused to look for him, a report was made to the divisional commander at Akropong who ordered Cpl. Megbunya to find the suspect and bring him to court, after arresting the suspect, the court granted him bail of Ghc 10,000-, Cpl. Megbunya, coerced an illiterate alcoholic into thumb printing a prepared document that enabled the suspect John Agbezudow to be released from custody, the policeman then presented the illiterate man named Sibri, to court to be jailed while Agbezudow, the thief was allowed to again abscond/jump bail and run away.

We should not blanketly condemn all police personnel as being corrupt, without citing specific incidences involving specific corrupt police personnel, we all need to help the IGP identify the corrupt elements in the Police Service in order to minimize or eliminate police corruption, and prevent the all die be die syndrome that's currently occurring.
