  The correct name of the town is Akwamu Gyakiti and it is only 18 miles from Akosombo in the Eastern Region. It is popularly known as Ajasco City and boast of some notable Ghanaians including Air Vice Marshall Mamphey (Kotoka Airport), Kofi Osei Ameyaw (Asuogyaman MP), Kofi Badu (CFO - Ericsson USA and Kofi Siaw (Goil Manager Osu RE).
