This guy should have forced to resigned. I regretted for supporting Npp. Npp is known to be party of intelligent people (lawyers, professors etc) but it is now turning into lawless party for the recent years. We need party who is discipline to be able to wrestle the power from NDC rather than slapping, murdering and suspension.

It is disgrace for whole party chairman to behave the way he did. He has to apologise to the Npp and the party in general for bringing the name of the party into dispute rather than accusing the police commander. He should rather blame himself. I don't think is the police commander who asked him to slap the MP neither is the president mahatma.
Very sad and disappointed by the behaviour of the party leadership and their comments especially acting chairman and some MPs especially MP for for assen north, Kennedy .

There is one important fact that has been either deliberately or through oversight omitted in all the reportage about the arrest and detention of Wontumi in Police cells. There was a Warrant of arrest issued by the court for his arrest and the court did not endorse the warrant to the effect that the person when arrested should be granted bail, the Police could not lawfully grant Wontomi bail at the Police Station. Whether he turned himself in or arrested by the public or Police, the arrest warrant had to be executed by re-arresting him at the police station. DCOP Kofi Boakye is therefore not an agent for Mahama but an agent for the LAW.
