This another bitter pill being forced the throat of Ghanaians by these 'humanists' of lawyers and criminologists. I don't think a research was conducted among law enforcement agencies before this ruling was made. But be it as it may, we are in Ghana. The next time a murder suspect on bail strikes, it might be at the door steps of Attafuah and his colleagues at the Supreme Court.

What we need to understand is that some suspects may still be refused bail, according to the ruling, due to the severity of the crime committed as done in the USA.

And the practice is influenced by Bribery and Corruption on the part of GH Police. B'cos the GH Police hardly Listens to any Story outside the Police Station.In Civilized Society,the Police
would first listen to the Story to determine what to do,if necessary; either to Settle or give advice,or Caution you,or make Arrest.In case of non Violent Domestic dispute,for example. Therefore,the Police do not Send people unnecessarily to the Station in the advanced Countries. B'cos they have more to do to keep people Safe and Secured,and they do not take or accept Bribes.The Victim who called the Police, writes the Statement on the Spot in the house.In Ghana, Statement is only writen at the Police Station,etc. Anyway.

Has Soldado and any of your other blockheaded critics considered that sometimes inocent persons like yourselves could be falsely acused by your disgruntle girlfriends or haters of rape or murder; and you and i know how snail paced our bereaucratic legal system works in Ghana: so assuming you find yourself wrongfully acused and detained in prisons custody for a period of six months or a year only to be found inocent later will you be happy??? Remember that it is a principle of justice that nobody is a criminal until found guilty at the law court.

No one is thrown into prison for crimes like murder on the basis of the slightest excuse. Before a person is accused of murder, there would be ample evidence linking him to the crime for which a judge would remand him into prison custody. The judges themselves are the cause of the unnecessary delays which leads to the lost of interest in the case and transfer, death, or retirement of investigators and witnesses. The best thing is to fix a period of say six months for all serious offences to be completed. Granting bail to those crimes that were non-bailable is going to enrich some unscrupulous judges and police officers and judges at the expense of the safety and security of victims and complainants. We must not copy other jurisdictions blindly.

Again,unless one has not Visited the Prisons to have a glimpse of how the place looks like, one do not know what he talks about!.The deplorable prison
environment,even their reception or office is absolutely enough deterrent to give one the impression that,it's not a place to be,in my personal opinion. Having said that.the facts that "Trials
in Ghana takes long.Trials getting adjourned,Police delaying investigation,Docket also missing",etc
to justify or Condone Bail is neither here nor there.B'cos in 99.9 percent of Cases,it's a Stratagem or Schemes or manovers perpetrated behind the Scenes to influence Staff who work in these institutions,etc to Corrupt, Stifle, Restrain or Curb Prosecution or Court Proceedings,or the System.I mean its a man made problem which Can easily be rectified and restricted. Therefore,it's a Very Weak and Lame argument to grant bail to a Suspected or self confessed Murderer,Armed Robber, Highway Robber,Someone who break into a Building or Room to Rape a Woman(rapist).I think a very small quantity of narcotic(wee) for personal use,petty Stealing,etc,Should be a dealt with in less than 24 hours. One should not be kept at the Police Cell for any reason on such petty offenses.What Martin Kpebu,Attafuah and those who think like them doesn't know is that a Murderer,Armed Robber
Rapist,Highway Robbers are dangerous to Society and if and when arrested Should not be granted Bail in a Civilized Society.I find Attafuah's proposal of Education in the Circumstance ,Baised and insulting to the good people of Ghana.The question is, the Nation Wreckers(some politicians, ministers,chief directors, ceo's down to the inventory clerk), who loot State Coffers with the Pen; The blue Collar Criminals whose operations Create hardships on all the people, Not Well Educated?. It make Sense to have a Suspect in Custody while investigation is on going,in a Civilized Society,so as as not to restrict the time of the Police,etc.
