  nduom is right on the nhi issue.those who registered on nhi should be transfered authomatically to the voters register.the supreme court said poeple who registered by nhi should re-register with ec.the ec must re-register all else there will be a legal problem.the nhi cards are already national cards.when i came to italy with a student visa issued from sweden,italy gave me a social security number.so i told them,give me resident permit else i send you to court,they did that quickly.

  Nduom is partly right but much depends on how the elections will be conducted by the electoral commission. Democracy everywhere is becoming increasingly expensive, partisan and also tribal. So any voting that is not transparent can lead to violence.During Nkrumah's time, election was violent in some places. If we want to avoid something similar, much will also depend on the electoral commissioner.

  ID will end all the troubles of registering minors and foreigners. Paa Nduom has been advocating for national identity for ages. NIA, a constitutional body, should be resourced by government to complete its work of registering all Ghanaians. Some parties gain during elections through peppertrating mischief and therefore will not resource NIA to complete its mandate.

How they will do it is up to them that encourage the violence. Its a disgrace using bandits for political gains. For God's sake 59 years after gaining independence people are behaving like wild animals. Dr Nduom you are 100% spot on and we hope President Mahama, Nana Akufo Addo, all party leaders and the Police Command take these warning shots serious and address it before it gets out of hand. Lawlessness, ethnic and religious sentiments have resulted in wars on the African Continent. Let us be Wiser as a people.
