To say a total of 13,268 teachers across the country will from June 2016 receive their outstanding salaries that have delayed for the last two years shows gross irresponsibility on the part of the sector Ministers' and Senior Officials for not seeking the interest of their employees. Furthermore, 16,000 Teachers face uncertainty as to when they would even be paid. For heavens sake Ghanaian workers must not be treated with such contempt. How do you justify such delays? Since the exercise of Validation of Employment documents being undertaking by Audit Department and the Controller and Accountant General’s Department, was fundamental to the Ministry’s clean up exercise, then the Stakeholders should have first put in place extra human resources to undertake whatever task it had set itself with deadlines in order not to bring untold hardships to the teachers. Two years down the line without pay is crazy are there no brains in the lay back Ministry of Education and Controller and Accountant General’s Department?
