DR BAWUMIA THE PROPHET ON THE $250 MILLION NDC TOOK OUT OF THE $1BILLION EUROBOND FROM BOG AND DEPOSITED FOOLISHLY & NONSENSICALLY AT THE UNITED BANK OF AFRICA (UBA)--------READ BELOW------ Beyond the issue of legality, there is the issue of prudence in the management of Ghana’s resources. How do you go and borrow money for 10.75% (US dollar) and give it to someone to lend it to you at over 20% (GHC)? In effect you are paying over 30%! Assuming stable exchange rates, Ghana will be paying additional interest of at least $50 million a year on this transaction. It really is reckless. The government is claiming that the funds were “idle”. Really? What does that mean? Why do you borrow funds and pay interest on it if you do not have use for them at the moment? It is clear that the GIIF does not have a portfolio of projects ready to invest in and it is weird to allocate a whopping sum of $250 million to them at this time. Is the Minister aware that the country owes N-Gas some $100 million? What about other contractors who are owed money by the government? How can you owe so much, have so much to do and yet claim to have “idle” borrowed funds? The allocation of such an amount to a private bank also has major macroeconomic consequences for a relatively small economy like Ghana. It increases the deposits of the banking system and ultimately the money supply. It has inflationary and exchange rate depreciation consequences and would make it more difficult for the government to meet its inflation target. I am surprised that the government is oblivious of these consequences. The Funds should stay at the Bank of Ghana. After all the Bank of Ghana, on its own or through its external fund managers of the caliber of internationally reputable banks like UBS, JP Morgan, Citibank, Merrill Lynch etc. can undertake whatever investment of the country’s foreign exchange that the government would like it to undertake

What Tekper believe is not important to Ghanaians. What is important to us is that facts are lay bare before all of us.

So to prove Bawumia wrong there has to be an official investigation into the the whole process of transferring state money into NDC-Friendly private BANKS who lend it back to the state at inhuman interest rates.

What makes this whole saga absolutely unbelievable Mahama's so-called Accounting is still in process. Meeting some local chiefs in his pocket and urging them to support him in public in return for some of the stolen state money.

Arthur Mills went to Central region to tell a constituency that unless they vote NDC they would not benefit from NDC projects. I mean what sort of government is that?

Divide and ruler. Are developments undertaken for social and economic basis or because of voting for NDC?

Arthur Amissah' pronouncements at Central region is a clear illustration of HIS INCOMPETENCE. I mean he said that in public. What a COK UP?

Dr Bawumia should explain why BoG funds end up as loans to banks and financial institutions if those monies belong to BoG and are thus held by BoG. And for those who ask of Dr. Bawumia how high to jump because Bawumia says jump I say to you all to get a clue. How can you borrowed money that attracts a 10.5% interest, a money that according to Terkper the nation doesn't need only to turn around and loaned the same money to a private bank for an interest of 6 % only for the private bank to lend the very money that the govt. owns in a form of treasury bill at 20% going interest rate.

Terkper must not only resign but also, he must be charged with causing financial loss to the state.

We keep the money with Bank of Ghana, we earn 0% on it, we lend it to someone else, we earn 12%. Even if it is true that we original money we borrowed was at 23%, are we not better off earning 12% on it, than earning 0% ? NPP fuo ye jimijimi fuo paa oooo!

Tekper's said, instead of the money sitting in the Bank of Ghana account and earning zero interest (no interest) as time is passing by and Ghana is accruing interest on the principal amount that we borrowed, it was far prudent to but the idle money sitting in the Bank of Ghana account to good use, by transferring it into the bank account of the entity that the said amount was originally allotted to. By so doing, the money will earn some interest. This is better than the zero interest that you NPP fools are rather wanted.

NPP fucking fools are like the proverbial servant that Jesus spoke about in the bible, the one who buried his capital/principal and told his master that he is wicked and returned the money given him without and accrued profit.
