Your problem is you are one of those African House Negroes who only believe in white man or Arab and use your ownself hate of your race to talk badly instead of saying its a good step in the right direction. Thank God there are other Ghanaians who think differently than you sir.

  Trinidad & Tobago should be considered a God's Blessing we should learn from. Without any knowledge the PM of T&T was visiting Ghana, I sent a message to friends of mine from that blessed land they should share with their thoughts on how my country should connect with T&T spiritually, diplomatically, and economically. And to read about the PM's readiness to build a strong tie with Africa cannot be less than a divine confirmation. Let all Africa rise to welcome PM Keith Christopher Rowley. Please come back for more visits to other African nations. Blessings on him and on Trinidad and Tobago.

  I am a Trinidadian that was raised in the US and lived in West Africa for several years.
  
  Trinidad and Tobago is the third wealthiest nation in the Americas (after the US and Canada). It is an oil rich nation and has been successful on developing its economy. T&T like Ghana became independent of the British in the 60's. The first Prime Minister, Dr. Eric Williams employed economic policies that developed the country in industrialization. He also focused on education, not tourism like the other Caribbean nations (which has seemed to keep them in poverty). In 1969, the government acquired the assets of the British oil companies. So most of the oil state owned and not by the "white man". During the Gulf War, T&T became a major oil supplier for the US. This helped further development plans. The oil industry is a blessing and not a curse to T&T.
  
  I could go on and on. But please do your research before making such harsh critical statements. I agree, T&T has room for growth but it is not a useless country. I am proud that Ghana is partnering with a nation that has people that came from Africa (the diaspora from slavery) who have traveled where Ghana needs to go.

  Thank you Maggie, for exposing such ignorami as kofi adu who take advantage of the anonymity of the internet to post comments on subject about which they know nothing. Most of the time it is too irritating to respond, and so we don't bother, but every so often we need to let them know how limited their knowledge is, to stop them plying their negative trade.
