He argued the inflation figures couldn't be accurate and challenged the Stat Dept to widen the sample. He was insulted by the likes of Ofosu Kwakye that he is a disgrace to his family. The IMF didn't think so. They asked the government to listen. Eventually, the Stat Dept embraced Bawumia's position. Take the recent Bank of Ghana forex restrictions. Bawumia predicted adverse effects on the economy. Again, he was insulted by the NDC. We all saw what happened leading to the BOG reversing the policy. Yes, Bawumia has far greater policy weight than Mahama!
