If that position has changed, it's up to the NDC to write to the IEA and not the other way round. The IEA has no business choosing who to talk to in the NDC. They will only talk to the one who they know has represented them in the past. Hannah Tetteh could have said she does not represent the NDC anymore but nobody has told her so. Koku and his Nyebro Kofi Adams were fired from their positions in the party in 2012 both for abuse of power so either they have no clue that Hannah Tetteh was sent by the NDC to negotiate for Presidential debates or they are just being jealous and regret for not changing her from that position in time. Kofi Adams was fired from the NDC for insulting Kwabena Agyei and then joining Nana Konadu's campaign. Koku had also been fired in the NDC by unilaterally firing the ECG boss at the Kumasi Sports Stadium for a black-out during a Black Stars game which turned out to be an electrical fault.

It's now clear that when they are afraid of an IEA debate, the NDC shuns it. For instance in 2012 when it was clear that President Mills couldn't perform at an IEA debate, the NDC threatened to boycott it till he was murdered. When JDM replaced President Mills, the NDC readily joined in the debate. They can fool some people some times but they cannot fool all the people all the time. The NDC must wise up!

It is true that the government came to power through the umbrella of the party, once the government is appointed into office, the ministers of state don,t take instructions from party executives. It is not party executives who run the government.
Koku Anyidoho must be brought to order. Too much Akpetesie is not helping this guy. Koku Anyidoho and Kofi Adams should not think that, by virtue of their positions in the party, ministers of state should report to them. If this is how the ndc party operates in the country, then they have an amorphous system in place, and must be corrected. In fact, the unwarranted effusions from these two Keta 'school boys' must be cut to size. It tantamounts to indiscipline, and the earlier something done about it the better. To be very blunt, these two guys are nonentities so far as governance is concerned.
I believed that Hannah Tetteh was contacted by the IEA because in the previous debates, she played a pivotal role for the ndc,and therefore if IEA initiates the conversation on the up coming debate with her, she would be in the better position to inform the presidency about the debate. There is nothing wrong with that.
The rantings from Koku Anyidoho and Kofi Adams are nothing but arrogance and disrespect for higher authority. At least, from the current state of affairs, Hanna Tetteh's position is far higher than the positions of National organizer and deputy general secretary.
So gentlemen, go back to the nearest 'blue kiosk' and enjoy your Akpeteshie for a good night sleep, and leave Hannah Tetteh alone. Nonesense!

This is because no institution worth its sort will address a Party communication to a Foreign Minister. Kuku, you may simply have said that you will check those facts with the Foreign Minister and you would have known that Mrs Jean Mensch was simply not telling the truth cos she had indeed not spoken to the Foreign Ministerror at all. And why would the Foreign Minister arrogate to herself that responsibility, of formulating any terms for the debate with the IEA, knowing very well that it was not under her duties to do so? It shows how flimsy our leaders take the debate to be.

All these seemingly insignificant stuff in our Politics culminate into one thing. And that is: our Politicians and Institutions all need to grow up, and quickly so. They are too immature in the manner they handle issues to move the Nation forward.

Even the way Anyidoho responded to the obvious infraction by the Foreign Minister is a little short of the sophistication Ghana deserves in resolving issues of that nature, even as the criticism of the Foreign Minister was to be expected. Are ego clashes and petty subtle personality wars brewing in the NDC, too?

Our Politics are too contentious, brittle, and personal duels at the mildest. No country develops with so many bruises from that kind of inter-relations among her stakeholders.

Our Political Parties and Politicians must quickly learn to refine their behaviors to match the level of Civilization, modernity and understanding that we loudly proclaim to the World that Ghana has. Our actions must speak louder than words, and therefore, we must prove our competence by our deeds and not by mere empty rhetoric.

The IEA has not been handling the pre-Elections consultations well at all. And all that could add to the problems we could have in the Elections. Yet, it is supposed to be leading us to a peaceful, successful democratic Elections. But are we there yet?...At the point where really peaceful Elections could be guaranteed?

All of us must sit up and take the Parties and the Institutions to task on assuring us of a successful Elections. Any entity that schemes to deny us that would be have face the endless wrath of the rest of the Nation.

Now look at SADA, GYEEDA, SUBAH, ISOFOTON, EMBRAER aircraft scandal, inflated project costs for Kumasi and Tamale airports rehabilitation, inflated project costs for Kasoa and circle interchange projects, inflated project costs for Ridge hospital expansion, AMERI, KARPOWER, MMT bus rebranding scandal, US$250million illegal transfer of GIIF funds ( Ahwoi brothers syndicate) etc etc. Why have the NDC members become crack thieves over the last seven years?
