UBA is owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria and so if Tekper wishes to invest Ghana Government's money why did he choose UBA over GCB, ADB or NIB which are Ghana Government owned.
Is Tekper patriotic at all? Indeed, we have vagabonds in power. Mahama and the NDC are ready to sell Ghana to foreigners for their own gain. UBA was born out of patriotism. UBA used to be a British owned bank but the Federal Government of Nigeria nationalised it to become a fully owned bank of Nigeria because of patriotism. Tekper should have also been driven by patriotism to hand this juicy investment to Ghana Government owned banks, especially,when the motive is to invest in a Ghana Government treasury bills. In legal form, UBA is registered in Ghana but the substance of the Matter is that any profit made will be repatriated to Nigeria with lightening speed and Ghana will be back to square one notwithstanding the inflationary and exchange rate implications that will follow suit.

It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

Nana Akufo-Addo used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment towards restoring the teacher training and nursing allowances when he wins this year’s presidential election.

“I have already said it and I am going to repeat it. Teacher training and nursing training allowances are going to be restored when we win. When Ghana did not have oil, because of prudent management of our economy, Kufuor could afford to pay teacher training and nursing allowances,” he said.

He continued, “Today we have oil, and because of the NDC’s mismanagement of the economy, they cannot pay the allowances. The NDC government has cancelled them. We are going to restore the nursing and teacher training allowances.”

Dr Bawumia is very cunning indeed. He chooses his targets very well in his deceit campaign. People like you who are full of hatred and frustrations would like to vent their spleens on innocent people even when an explanation looks tangible and good. Now hear yourself - inflation, profit repatriated to Nigeria, etc. Have you heard about the word globalization? I don't really think that we're in a global economy where a country could enter another country to trade. Ghanaian companies are all over many countries especially Nigeria. They have won good contracts in Nigeria, Mozambique, USA, Russia, Japan, United Emirates, Liberia, etc. Their profits are repatriated to Ghana unhindered. It's only the ignorants like you who think Ghana should not allow this. If so, then Ghanaians should not be allowed to trade internationally. When CCT won a contract to build 200 detached houses for the police and the military in Equitorial Guinea, the company even had to reinvest in estate houses by building 25 three storey buildings over a wide stretch of land. What this means is that for a long time, they will continue to repatriate dollars into Ghana economy. So, what is the problem, Usman?
