Is Tekper patriotic at all? Indeed, we have vagabonds in power. Mahama and the NDC are ready to sell Ghana to foreigners for their own gain. UBA was born out of patriotism. UBA used to be a British owned bank but the Federal Government of Nigeria nationalised it to become a fully owned bank of Nigeria because of patriotism. Tekper should have also been driven by patriotism to hand this juicy investment to Ghana Government owned banks, especially,when the motive is to invest in a Ghana Government treasury bills. In legal form, UBA is registered in Ghana but the substance of the Matter is that any profit made will be repatriated to Nigeria with lightening speed and Ghana will be back to square one notwithstanding the inflationary and exchange rate implications that will follow suit.

Under Tsatsu, GNPC was diverting funds into Agriculture and Salt-winning, all the while neglecting the core mandate of oil exploration and management of the nation's oil assets.
Fast-forward to today, we have the same party back in power, pursuing these same counter-productive policies of investing the corporation's funds in unrelated businesses, leaving scant funds for what they should really be doing.
Ghana is doomed under such grossly incompetent leaders. Our only viable option will be to discard Mahama and his band of bandits into the dustbin they belong in come Election Day.

My study indicates that these sedimentary rocks were formed when there was no life on earth. The only thing that can be searched for within this basin is the existence of confined aquifers and nothing else. Any exploration for oil in this basin will be an exercise in futility. As for the offshore portion of the basin, well, it is worth trying.

I have Norwegian friends and one is the Head of Research for STATOIL. He earns very good monthly income of $45,000 in his own country. What Ghana has done best is to chop our oil proceeds in the name of capacity building. We invite these foreigners to come and dig our oil. Flow meters stop functioning and no one cares to fix it so stealing can go on. These whites inflate cost of investments. They loot us by transferring plenty money to in the name of investment. If you like check their local financial reporting as against the same companies' global reporting. It will shock you what you find. We are like silly rich people who give what we have to others and turn round to beg them with bloated pot bellies, while they look slim and fit for purpose. Our leaders are ripping us off all the time. What is happening?
How can GNPC be broke and be sponsoring thousands of people to watch football abroad and also budgeting to spend over $350 million in a year on capacity building, where is our priority?

The GNPC Board Chairman must be corrupt. He was sent to GNPC to make money for the NDC. Since he went there he has already stopped one major project (head office building); he tried to influence the procurement process by adding his company. When he noticed he could not add because of the PPA Act, he stopped the process. It is the same with the Voltaian basin; his company did not perform well in the initial evaluation, so he decided to stop the process again citing lack of money. He has to be removed immediately to avoid creating problems for Pres. John Mahama and NDC.
