Tekper and those happy people must be silly indeed. When can you pay one hundred billion dollars and progress as s country. When the borrowed monies are stolen by mahama and thieves. Just last week DVLA BOSS stole 6.9 million dollars for a project costing 3.6 million dollars and instead of collecting those monies tekper continues borrowing more and more and fools are happy. Where has reasoning gone to from Ghana. You see poverty clearly on the faces of Ghanaians and a small batch of idiots are misleading the people. Ghanaians wake up. NDC HAS NO FUTURE FOR TGE COUNTRY

This issue of ADVICE and RECOMMENDATION has already been decided by the Supreme Court in the Abu Ramadan and the EC'S case. ADVICE & RECOMMENDATIONS are not MANDATORY! The receiver is not bound to follow them.

We all know what happened under Kuffour . . , the $35m meant for the development of 33 traditonal areas he gave as gift to Asantehene and the Okyehene . . the $1.1m on police . . vehicles that turned into $11m . . , the wrongful use of state acquired proprietary information that allowed COSMOS,Dr. Edusei et al to continue to fleece the nation in oil deals . . the $1b the VRA lost in crude oil lifting agreement with Sahara . . . the stealing of State lands for their personal use . , the wrongful sale of Ghana Telecom . .ad nauseum but we never insulted Kuffour and his thieving gang. We limited discussions to issues even though Kuffour never faced the challenges of today.For example, there was a moratorium on the payment of our foreign debts and the $4b debt forgiveness freed monies for infrasture development. Commodity prices didn't fall as they have now. To be honest, if Kuffour had properly used the resources made available during his tenure, the country wouldn't have been in this mess. But then his economic policies collapsed local industries in favor of foreign ones when he supported the weak cedi with our much-needed foreign currency to make imports cheaper. Of course Ghanaians wanting bangs for their money flocked to buy the most often shoddily produced and unhealthy foreign substitutes. In fact at a time local textile factories were laying off workers, his government thought it "cool" to import textiles for the corruption-riddled Ghana@50 Anniversary. Even mad men don't make such decisions but we lived with it and recognized his contributions

Mahama isn't perfect but given the challenges, he has done far better than Kuffour. And he and his Party will be returned to power no matter the machinations of you and your Party of friends and families of the first black terrorist group South of the Sahara.

What don't you understand about MAY and RECOMMENDATIONS. these are not "a must" and recommendations are just recommendations. If you find the constitution deficient, Petition for it to be changed. Incidentally the concentration of too much power in the hands of the President under our Constitution has been the cause of most of our woes as a nation: From corruption to mere incompetence. Unfortunately past and present presidents have used the provisions to their advantage--much to the disadvantage of the nation.

The Constitution needs to be amended but trust me, it isn't going to happen any time soon given the type of politicians we send to parliament unless there is a grassroots push for it which is also an uphill task given the level of literacy of our folks. But it can be done if parliament is prepared to provide the resources.

No amount of amendments can whip up the constitution. It is now becoming crystal clear following JJ Rawlkngs vile comments on some NDC members and Nkrumah's followers that he (JJ) wanted to be like Putin. So, no wonder the architects of the constitution were conditioned and tuned to achieve or fulfill what JJ had nurtured all the years even before June 1979 revolution. I pity Boakye Gyan and his comrades, who could not foresee JJ's political ambition, but instead, risked their lives to save him from execution.
