Government has procured a fleet of modern aircraft and accessories to enable the Airforce to better perform their functions of protecting the country’s airspace. Included is a package for training of pilots and both ground and Air crew.

But it is foolish if not insane to ban social media because of election,no right thinking person should use Uganda as role model to do things in this era of civilization, I can't believe IGP will want us follow what autocratic government of Yoweri Museveni is doing, a dictator in power for about 40 years,president for life.
Banning social media should not come to mind of anybody in this modern era and I'm even wondering if the police have that power to do that,they do not even have the expertise to do that,not even close.
The Ministries of Interior and Communication should be the ones talking about something like this unless they are hiding behind the IGP for that message.
There is no need for this we should not even think about it,it can be chaos which will not be in the interest of anybody,we need a credible and peaceful election.

The EC, SC, THE GHANA POLICE, THE MILITARY, BNI, you name it. In 2008 the NPP claimed the military and the Ghana Police were not in their favour. In 2012 NPP accused the EC of bias. People r hiding behind social media to cause confusion in Ghana. Eg recently it's on social media dat prez mahama wanted by ICC in connection with the death of ex prez mills which happens to be false. Again, npp hopson adoye also circulated false news on social media dat allotey Jacob has been arrested at Heathrow airport.
