John reluctantly agrees to make an appointment. John sits down and unburdens himself the spiritual adviser. The priest thinks for a long time, but finally he finds a solution. “John, this is what you need to do. Take your Bible and go somewhere peaceful where you can communicate with the Lord. Sit down and meditate and try to accept the Lord in to your heart. When you have reached inner peace I want you to slowly open your Bible and let the wind ruffle the pages. When the wind stops, look down at the page which the Bible is opened to. There you will find your answer.” John is a bit skeptical, but the priest is serious and John decides he doesn’t have anything better to do. The priest doesn’t see John again for a few months. One day, John shows up at the church in a fancy car and expensive suit and hands the priest an envelope with a large donation to the church. “Father, I want to thank you for your excellent advice! I followed your instructions to the letter. When the wind finally stopped blowing it took me awhile to find any message, but then I looked at the bottom of the page. Chapter 11!

The moral of the story is that John does not need prayers from the Piest or the Christians,heaven helps those who help themselves.

In as much as everyone is entitled to his or her opinion l could not begrudge the Rev. Minister for expressing his opinion. My worry is the fact that the Rev. Minister has simplistically put the economic situation at the door step of the Mahama led administration which is very unfortunate and very simplistic. Economic hardship does come in a day but a culmination of series of challenges spanning through a period of time. What is happening in Ghana at both the economic and social fronts are not the making of Mahama's led administration but failure of administrations including past governments and the civil societies which the church could not be left out. The churches as the Rev. rightly says could no longer get their offerings as anticipated because measures are now in place to prevent the looting of state coffers to enrich the various church houses with the I'll gotten booties. Now that it has become difficult to syphon from the state to enrich the churches, such unguided and ill - motivated utterances are not out of place. The most unfortunate aspect of the Most Rev. 's discourse is the fact of usurping the will of Christians. It is not absolute the truth that Christians have stopped praying for government. If Rev. has stopped, it will be fair for him to say so. The generalization is quite unfortunate. Rev. your utterances are likely to divided your following.

I wonder who will pray for this government to continue to rule this country. Ghanaians cannot wait to see the back of these NDC thugs in November. I read someone was saying the catholic priest should remember to pray for governing authorities as the Bible says. But he should not forget that what Proverbs says that "if a wicked rules a nation, the people grumble". The is what is happening in Ghana now. These present leaders are not only inefficient but they are deliberately suffocating the people of Ghana to death. How do you pray for such a government? And if the people are not willing to pray for the government it gives a lot of meaning including lack of support for them. Christians are obliged by the Bible to pray for our leaders - 1 Timothy 2:1-4. Irrespective of the government in power Christians have to obey God and pray for our leaders, the chief of them being the President. Please if you are not praying, please I strongly advise you to change your mind. Read Isaiah 62:6-7 and Psalms 122 and you will find that you are making a serious mistake not praying for your President.

Please pray for him, he is your leader and President.

Now church members invest their monies for their future pay good school fees put up hoses for them selve Men of God have to lead a loving and productive lives when was the last time he gave a gift to the widows in his church or visited the poor and plan for scholarship for the students. Thanks

Furthermore, the priest's statements have no merit. To believe in this priest will be tantamount to believing that Bishop Obini can turn himself into a snake. Catholic priests have the same rights are their fellow Ghanaians to openly express their views about politicians and political issues; but to telling lies certainly is not an expression of opinion.
