The Airline personal were alarmed with such a large amount of money, became suspicious and informed the Security Officials at Heathrow airport.

The Security became suspicious and boarded the plane to escort him for interrogation why he was carrying such a large amount of money. Allotey Jacobs was able to explain why he has such a large amount on him to the satisfaction of the British Officials who in all probability, checked with the Ghana government to ascertain the veracity of his story.

Should I even remotely consider your rap, then the pressing question that comes to mind is, why not wait for the culprit, in this case, Mr. Allotey, to come to Papa with his loot right before the Custom Officers after clearing the immigration check-in desk? After all, Heathrow is not of any differences from airports the world over, or is it?

Note also that, security apparatus at airports just don't board airlines to escort criminals, money laundries, drug curries and what have you, off-board, unless it's absolutely necessary since it's bad for business and any airliner would tell you same.

In 1996, the first time I went to Ghana after 12 years in USA and when coming back, a cousin of mine who was into the computer business gave me $50,000 to be given to his wife in Dallas encountered the same problem. My cousin who had been in the computer business advised me to declare the amount on the currency declaration form which I did but I was still interrogated for more than two hours at DFW Airport before I was allowed to leave the terminal with the money.

Anytime you carry such a large amount of money through the Airport, you become a subject of interest for suspicion of drug transaction.

Well, that was how the media sensationalised Nayele story before us that the security at the airport boarded the airline and escorted her off the flight. An unconfirmed puzzle reserved at the said security that come for her at Heathrow Airport.

Now, about your experience of 1996, were you escorted from the flight and then interrogated or the interrogation took place after you've disembarked the plane and going through proceedings? Had a similar experience once though. Luckily, I had a receipt on me that proved the cash was all mine and from my deposit as well. I was warned not to repeat such again and given clearance.

Why was he not called by the Chairman of the NDC party but of all the people who could call him, it was Ibrahim Mahama, John Dramani Mahama's brother? Is he a NDC party official or he together with John Mahama know something about the case of money laundering which Allotey Jacobs was apprehended?
Because it is very curious that on a day, John Dramani Mahama was billed to inaugurate the Komenda Sugar factory, the NDC Regional Chairman should be absent?
Clearly, something must have been pushing Allotey to embark on such a trip and something must have triggered that call from no other person than Ibrahim Mahama, John Dramani Mahama's brother. The attempt to launder ill gotten stolen money by the John Mahama NDC gov't using Allotey Jacobs as a conduit for such crassness has suffered a severe jolt coming on the back of the recent Anti-Corruption summit convened by David Cameron to apprehend criminals posing as politicians looting and stealing the resources and funds of the state. This bluster by Allotey Jacobs is not fooling anybody and he should be ashamed of the stealing and thievery that has become a perpetual occurrence and stake in the governance of his Mahama NDC gov't.
