I watched something on JoyNews someone (former athlete) who profess to be Martha's guardian. It was a shame to watch this illegal guardian and former athlete on TV. He is the main cause of the fracas between super Martha Bissah and the GAA. This man failed to understand anything that the JoyNews host was asking him. This former athlete refused to answer questions but said he was going to see the President, etc. The GAA had invited Martha to a meeting but this so-called former athlete and illegal guardian insisted to join the meeting with Martha saying Martha who is 18+ could not attend the meeting alone. The GAA became agitated and cancelled the meeting and subsequently banned Martha indefinitely from GAA sport. What a shame! I blame this so-called former athlete/illegal guardian and not the GAA for the suspension.

Last year during my visit home,I was dumb founded when my sister recited a totally fictional story about how she and her alcoholic husband struggled and even sold all their properties to finance their son's education.The truth is I financed the boy's education since the p4.I also sent her a monthly stipend of $500 a month which is more that $100 a week.Our parents are not around any more and it is just the two of us so I did more than the average. I was not even looking for her to say thank you but for her to create fictional accounts of struggling added insults to ungratefulness.That is likely what the athlete Martha has done.If she doesn't substantiate her allegations then she must made to retract it,apologize for the defamation and sanctionEd administratively.If she refuses to comply then she must be dropped.Did I mention that I have withdrawn further financial assistance to her directly.I am still paying the school fees for her remaining two children but that is all I send now.

That's the norm in Ghana's corrupt system today I knew some people are hell bent in the GAA to destroy this smart young lady's future. This whole thing started when the GAA President called Dodoo or whatever his name is tried to take control of Martha Bisa's bank account and tried to steal her money from her Gold win. Martha's own mom was the first to confront and expose him. Fans of Dodoo and GAA argued with me here on Ghanaweb several times about this. The GAA is having issues with Martha Bisa not because she is dumb and illiterate but because she is too honest for them. When they put pressure on her to lie that she's been offered a scholarship abroad but she refused, she made it plain to the whole Ghana that it's a lie and that no one had officially invited her to talk about any scholarship but it was just a verbal promise from Dodoo. She was later on invited by President Mahama and she said the same thing. Those corrupt officials at the GAA have a lot of issues with this young athlete just because she is brutally honest. Saint Ghfuo, I expect you to remember all this because you also made a lot of suggestions for this lady during that period of time.

However, we are not talking about Sarfo's sister here but Martha Bissah. Isn't it an open secret how the powers that be extort monies from people to give them such opportunities? I know for sure that if pressed hard she will reveal others have tried to sleep with her. This allegation is a common occurrence in the very fabric of our society. Sarfo I also gave a loan of $1,300 to a needy friend to travel to the US. He promised to pay it in the shortest possible time and also help me to travel too. Six years now he has still not paid but came for his two sisters and a brother. Are you also like him? She's a national treasure and must be supported in all ways to bring honor to the motherland.

Her times are bad, and they come no where near those of lowly rated athletes in Kenya, Ethiopia, Burundi, South Africa and most African countries. That is the bear fact. Why are there so many controversies around her? There have been many athletes who have gone through the GAA to the US, and nobody has ever heard to this kind of issues around them. The fact is that Martha is not up to the standard. She has simply burnt out quickly and so early, and this may be due to so many factors. Is Martha's age accurate? Has she grown to her maximum? Ghanaians don't like the truth, but I believe that this girl has nothing more to offer even if she is sent to the best middle distance training camp in the world period!!!

How old can this chap be that you claim she's too old to run. The GAA has never had issues with other athletes because they quietly accepted to pay bribes to them. Of course, her time will go down without proper training and from all the troubles the GAA is giving her. Ghanaians are the most stupid ungrateful people in the world and you are a perfect example. How many of those who sacrificed for this country in the past have any recognition? Even DK Poison, Azumah Nelson, Reverend Osei Kofi and Kofi Annan are walking around in Ghana without any recognition. All Ghanaian know is opportunism, taking advantage of other people's success.

If nobody said that to her she will never create something out of the blue and disgrace her benefactors if you deserve it anyway. She earned what she has by hard work through those who believed in her. I have watched her videos and is very proud of her and her trainer. You can't suspend her. I call on the ministry of sport to stand by this wonderful unsuspecting lady. All the athlete that went to the US on so called scholarship can tell you all the hardship they are going through. They won't same anything for fear of being victimized so they've kept silence. How about the ones that got pregnant from some of the officials? It's well known for all the fear instilled in these athletes so they will keep their mouths shut. afterALL THEY'VE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO TO America SO THEY BETTER TAKE IT ALL LEAVE IT. jUST BECAUSE Martha have Nimako on her side as a spokes person doesn't make the association go ahead and suspend her.
