GNPC, getting into real estate or what. Is GNPC going to force/compel these companies to rent/lease from them? How, are they going to be inticed with business incentives? What if these companies just do not what to reside in energy city for business, or for whatever reason - would they be penalized, blacklisted or sabotaged by GNPC. This is simply a bad idea that should be left to the private sector. By the way, why should the head offices of all the energy companies be located in one place....not smart at all, even from the stand point of security alone. Then add amplified negative effects of disruptions logistics, collusion, etc

Tavie, Why on earth should they even contemplate doing Commercial Real Estate. This a very bad thing to do. They might as well invest the money in Oils rigs since rigs are cheaper now, thanks to the slump in oil prices. Oil prices would pick up and oil rigs and capital equipment prices would shoot up again. As a company keen on oil exploration and allied services, how much infrastructure does GNPC possess. ...Ignoring your mandate to go invest in commercial real estate is speculative and shear stupidity simply put. This would only happen in "developing countries". This a PETROBRAS in the making.

Yet another harebrained project from the geniuses who run the GNPC, to distribute kickbacks to regime-cronies.
Why is the GNPC so concerned weigh its image? Who cares about its image - when what matters is that it is managed prudently and well?
If we are not careful the GNPC will end up like Brazil's Petrobras - a corporate mecca for profiteering high net worth crooks with connections in the corridors of power in Ghana.
What a nonsensical idea: What sane executive in any foreign oil company employed in Ghana would want to go to work daily in an office block that will be an obvious target for extremist terror attacks?
How daft can you get? Hmm, Ghana - eyeasem o!

You never allow competitive bidding because you always want to inflate prices. GNPC Board Chairman just announced GNPC is broke inspire of all the free monies you collect and now you want to be landlords. If you don't pass class one why jump to class 6? You can't even manage the oil money so why think of rent?' like KONADU said, we either have too many ignorant fools in key positions or thieves or both and the GNPC and Energy Ministry are certainly part of the rot.
