  All through and after the memorial service, you would hear pastors, politicians and pressmen say 'never again'. A look at the gutters and drainages around the Kwame Nkrumah Circle however appeared to be saying ' you got to be kidding'.
  The only thing that we learn from history and incidents as Ghanaians is that we learn nothing from them.. I was at Accra Circle yesterday and the place looks just same as last year with now work done. Yet after the memorial service, 150 victims and relatives were given Ghc10, 000 with a total sum of Ghc1, 500, 000 + cost of memorial service. Im not saying the Idea is bad but couldn't the money be used to distill the drainages. If Ghana had this much, why can we use it clean the gutters. We live in a country whereby the life of its citizens means nothing to our leaders but when it comes to misusing of funds......noko fio, krakra obi b3nya adi nti. Not a prophet of doom but we will come back sometime this year or future to talk about same issue.
  
  Wh3 w'abrabom anaa w'asitenam na to aba. We vote just to better our lives not to deteriorate the little that we have.

  Accra has always flooded during the rainy season since time began and there has not been serious fatalities until recent times. The trouble is there are too many people coming into Accra. The system is not designed to cater for such uncontrollable influx of settlers who put up weak dwelling structures to live in around the flood plains. So please don't blame Oko. He only has limited resources. Accra is not the only City in Ghana. So it is incumbent on the government to develop other regions in Ghana to mitigate against the large flow of settlers flooding into the city.

Everything you need you have to come to Accra. Why blame people for coming to Accra? Where should they go? Everything is situated there!!! We are reaping what we sowed, Poor Planning.
