  I wonder how much at all there is in there from the oil resource. With the collapse of the oil price and our production level we better think of how to increase national wealth. The talk of oil money juxtaposing it to our national infrastructural needs must be weighed appropriately. Let's face it the oil money is peanuts. Its a disgrace to talk about sanitation when we all know that it is purely a habit problem. How do we punish this lazy and dirty people who even after a whole year's campaign are still littering about with careless abandon.?

  And you are spot on, regarding how we need to address the deplorable sanitation problem which confronts this nation. Although the worsening situation can be attributed to attitudinal indifference, I wholeheartedly agree with Kwame Juantuah's take that this problem be addressed with 'special' adequate funding from the central government!
  Poor sanitation has become a national disgrace, and the central administration, working in close partnership with Municipal/ District Assemblies, as well as certain young individuals[who have decided to make a career in the area of waste management -the 'Abobo Yaa' operators], the sanitation problem can be tackled had-on!
  If the hordes of young and agile people who fill our busy city streets, selling cheap made in China wares, were adequately resourced and supported to set-up, manage, and operate these 'mini' Zoomlions in their respective neighbourhoods and designated zones, can this seemingly intractable problem of urban migration and filth, not be addressed in one swoop?

  All what's needed is a central Sewage system, underground drainage systems IN ACCRA AND KUMASI and all over the Regional Capitals and the country as whole if we're going to stop or at least minimise damage caused by flooding in Accra and Kumasi and many parts of the Country. We need to consult countries like Holland who are specialists in the Drainage and central Sewage systems. This projects can be given to them , with Ghannian engineers, and experts from Holland.We have our human resources ready to work with impunity, please the time have come for us to change. I remember we started such a project somewhere in Odokor and Adabraka through Asalamdown. I am sure we can do it again, we have the capacity and the resources to do it , once again too much of committee meetings won't solve this problem overnight
  As the saying goes Time is going Time isn't waiting for Nobody like That.Oh mmmmmmmm?.
