for being unable to pronounce the word “entertainment” during a reading lesson. Teacher was wrong but attacks are not Justified. there are avenues for addressing such Teacher abuse.

Clearly she is lying. Am not sure which is worse. The girl lying or an adult of a teacher bullying a teenager for being unable to prounce a word. I witness such incidents countless time in primary school. My dad told me a story about how one of his friend was so embrassed by a teacher he stopped schooling when they were in primary school.

Well guess what not all families will stay quite or find another school for their wards experiencing this. Some will choose to take such action. An eye for an eye.

I initially felt sorry for the teacher but now...

A teachers role is to impact knowledge on a child. If children knew it all we will not need to have teachers. So why embrass a child for not knowing.

Both parties the teacher and the student went quite far both handled the suitation excessively. Both should be held responsible for what happened

In this particular case the problem was between female teachers and a girl so where does the issue of sex come in unless you want to say that the teachers are lesbians

Absolutely stupid to sack that girl for not being successful in the pronunciation. What kind of teacher was that? The girl is there to LEARN!

I don't support the way those zongo guys stormed the school and it's certain this small girl didn't invite them, as we all know how zongo guys behave, but no one should be sacked for bad pronunciation. At a time when our Universities are churning out graduates who can't compose phrases without grammatical errors, I find it hard to understand that this girl has become a victim of very bad pedagogy.

Sometimes we can do better to sit down to analyze before we write our comments,I live thousands of miles away from that school but I can say with confidence that the girl was not sacked from school rather she left after the punishment which brought the criminals to the school,the teachers did not say they didn't punish her but they did not send her home as she is claiming,she is a dumb and a bad girl who went to bring the hooligans to the school,she knows those criminals very well,that girl should never be called back to that school again,she should be sacked and if she likes she can go to those criminals to teach her,those her boyfriends should teach her,they can give her home education.

I wonder for many hours we have not heard from any official in Ghana as to what they are doing to get these criminals off the streets,nothing like police are looking for them or have arrested them.
The lawlessness in Ghana now is at the highest level,something we never experienced before.
