The question is if someone is your friend, that person is awarded a contract which is inflated and later spent $100,000 on a gift to the friend. What will you classify this? Let's say the person is not the president of Ghana. You guys are suffering and you are defending this nonsense. When there are too many fools in a country that is the end result.

AUTHOR : JAMES MANN------ - How does Omane Boamah explain these: 1. the preamble says, the contractor did a bid and did win the contract and he was introduced to the then Vice President who happens to be the present President and he a sent a delegation to attend a funeral concerning the contractor, after that he wins a bid to build a wall to the value of $650,000(which is another issue altogether), then he gives a "gift" to the President who then calls to say thank you. 2. He begins winning contracts based of sole sourcing which are against the procurement rules of the country?

Your point would have been right had it not been a very serious infringement on the part of greenstreet. To throw your support fully behind a man who has been accused of wrong doing without having the facts to do so would make people question his motives as well as lose respect for him. Greenstreet went to the extent of making it look like a gift at a funeral to help a family with expenses whilst the facts clearly shows that the contractors received a contract which was inflated before the gift . afterwards he was given a lucrative contract and was in the process of getting another. Greenstreet's behaviour tarnished the image of the CPP and their very public rebuke of their flag bearer will help to restore some trust in the party. I would go as far as saying greenstreet should be " impeached" by his party. I use to have high hopes but he's become a big disappointment.

If you want to touch Greenstreet who is giving the CPP a semblance of the credibility it needs to make an impact in the coming elections you will not be spared. Greenstret has spoken the truth. He is leader of the CPP and should not have to seek authorisation from Central Committee before he speaks on issues that come before him. If he has no such authority, then why is he the leader. The Osagyefo in his time as president spoke on many issues both nationally and internationally without seeking authorisation from the central committee. Greenstreet was spot on. The car gift was not a bribe period.
