  Politics and development is an interesting game. Yes, people voted to power want a better life for their constituents. The Honourable is doing well to acquaint himself with the on-going work in the region. I feel sad when I hear or see politicians inspecting projects. In 2012, the 2nd week of November, a contract started building culverts and bulldozers came to work on 2nd Ponpon street, a strategic road which links Banana Inn and surrounding suburbs to Darkuman. The impression was given that the road would be tarred before the 2012 elections. Unfortunately, the construction work was abandoned and due to that a slum is rather developing along that route. The poor people in the area have no voice but to wait on the mercy of the government. They are living in a developing slum because an authority decided to abandon a development project after getting their votes during the 2012 elections. The street in question falls under Honourable Tettey Chae's Ablekuma Central Constituency. Ironically, the Honourable is the chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on roads. Something should be done about this 2nd Ponpon Street which links Sukura to Mars Road. Commuters using this road which used to be manageable driving on it would be grateful if it is put in motorable shape. God bless Ghana
