  In a nation state , citizenship is not based on tribal origins. Anyone from anywhere can be a Ghanaian if they have ancestry, marry a Ghanaian or applies for citizenship and that application is granted.

  In a nation state , citizenship is not based on tribal origins. Anyone from anywhere can be a Ghanaian if they have ancestry, marry a Ghanaian or applies for citizenship and that application is granted.
  We live in a different world now. Nationality is a complex term in this era and all over the world, there examples of people with varied origins becoming prominent citizens in other countries.
  
  There is a rich history of 'foreigners' acquiring citizenship and rising to prominent position. The Saoud family is prominent in Kumasi and one them assumed Chairmanship of the Club I. the late 1970s. there is the Helwani family and the owners of Metro TV who are prominent Ghanaians with foreign origins.
  
  
  As for the crony capitaliism that plagues the Ghanaian system , it is as widespread as the filth in Accra. Almost all the prominent Ghanaian businesses are ingratiated in the political gravy train.

  This Harry zakkour man is talking rubbish. I met the former once and instantly liked him. We met at the Legon park one early Saturday morning when I had gone there with my son to jog and play a bit of football. I was surprised to see the coach come come to the nearby pitch ahead of the rest of the team. He then started putting all those things they use for training all over the field. He was still doing it when we left.nhow many local coaches will do that. Ghanaians don't like good things sha. We reject good things and accept bad one. That is why mahatma is messing up the country and has the guts to ask for Ghanaians to even vote for him again! Can you imagine mahatma wanting to be president again after messing up GHANA? Such crap!
