  SSNIT has never posted any card. I registered for the card and it took one year (1st Oct 2014 to Sept 2015) to get the card after several visits. This was at the SSNIT Adabraka Freetown office. This Biometric Smart Cards is an avenue to fill their individual pockets.

  Ghanaweb case is a very sad one. Even if it didn't cost Ssnit so much, is it not a complete waste that as a country with a population of under 30 million, we cannot have just one biometric register? Why should we have different biometric registers? You would argue that it's for different purposes. Be educated to know that even a big country as America use the Social Security ID for everything because once your fingers prints are captured biometric ally, it doesn't change but will always prove you are the same person.
