The other someone assessed health services with the NHIS card. The shocking news is that he was asked to go and buy common paracetamol. This happened right here in Ghana but Togolese come to Ghana to enjoy some these things freely.
The issue is without oil money Kufuor was able to implement free maternal care and proper health insurance to Ghanaians. Unfortunately, with all the oil money NHIS cannot afford common paracetamol to its subscribers

That "independence" of the EC is LIMITED to conducting elections. The EC has no real independent power to dictate electoral processes without any consensus with ALL stakeholders. It is a big shame that a sitting MP would so derogatorily insult a Government Official who has not been found to have broken any Law. The poor lady is just doing the best she can under the circumstances. If we do not like some of the things she is doing, we only have to engage her in a civilized, mature and principled way to find the best way forward.

Besides, she has not refused to work with anyone, be it the Opposition or the Incumbent Party folks. In the instances of where the Opposition has concerns and even proceeded to the Supreme Court for further clarification, the EC could only wait till the SC gives a better explicit direction for her to proceed.

If Ken thinks she has breached any legal mandate, let him take her to Court. If not, the insults he is spewing at her is simply out of sheer malice and pure baseless hatred.

When will our Parliament move to discipline some of its members who act like Ken is doing? The likes of him constantly affront the general Public with impunity and that diminishes the image of the Parliament erodes our Democracy.

Until Kennedy Agyapong is heavily disciplined, he would not change his crude, savage ways in our Politics.

In this regard, the supreme court strong critique that it will not sit unconcerned whilst the EC lead us into chaos,reflects poorly on the competence and leadership of th EC chairwoman. The court has now put the EC on notice that it is not above the law and its orders for all NHIS names, minors and the dead must be expunged from the electoral roll,for electoral impartiality and sanity to prevail for all. This is a refreshing intervention from IMANI. I feel really ashamed that Ghanaian men use such insulting and abusive language against this lady. If you read what is written about her on social media it is sickening and sad. I am wondering why anybody can in such a short time say she is not doing well in her job. What exactly do some of these people want her to do? Right from day one of her appointment she has been insulted and vilified and called names. She has been dignified enough not have responded to any of these insults including claims she is incompetent (a word which has gained such notorious importance in Ghanaian political discourse}. There is so much pressure on her to produce some magic to solve all electoral problems in Ghana. Are people expecting her to issue statements daily telling Ghanaians what she is doing? I think the only time she can be judged is after the November elections. She is not allowed to do her work. These numerous court cases take so much of her time. So much of her time is taken attending court and preparing material to defend the EC at court. How much time is left for her to actually focus on her actual work as EC boss? Let us be reasonable and allow this lady to do what she has been employed to do. Let us judge her by how she conducts the elections in November. That is the only time we can say she has done well or has failed.
