NDC have realized that Anthony Osei Gyima is a United States citizen and if the issue is brought up at the eleventh hour and he steps down,they may not have enough time within their disposal to prepare another candidate to represent them in the constituency for the general election. This is the reason behind Smith making a u-turn.
