By the way how keeping fit enables the president carry out his constitutional mandate and makes conclusions devoid of emotion and parochial limitations? Why not suggest that MP’S should be included in this endeavor?

Albert Bagbin your recommendation is neither here nor there and a none issue. The president once elected becomes the C-I-C. As a legislator with that level of experience, does not bother you that you still do not getthe fine lines between the work of a president and soldiers? The constitution clearly spells out their respective roles; leave soldiers to do what they are best trained for - to defend the nation from external and internal attacks, emergency mobilizations and things like that. No one is born a politician, circumstances or call of duty sends people into politics. With one of the most corrupt and none inspiring president ever witnessed in Ghana, has led to droves of youth venturing into politics because its perceived that is where the money lies. Politics is public service and should not be a career, Albert. Help creat jobs for the youth and they will stay away from politics. No need for presidents to be trained in the handling of arms. Leave that to the professionals and mop up all unauthorized arms circulating with wrong hands in Ghana. Soldiers are soldiers and president should not be a soldier. The constitute mandates a civilian Commander in Chief of our armed forces, Bagbin. Every example Mahama has set is bad; from buying arms, caught in a web of corruptions, his inept feelings about matters Ghana. Business' have closed more under the Mahama's regime than any other government or regime in Ghana. Like Hilla limman who run the country down the cliff, mahama does not qualify to be a second term president. He is a bad example for our democracy.

What sort of security training is Bagbin referring when he said that presidents and politicians should be provided with military training. This is not a well-thought of idea being proposed by the MP. The president does not need to be trained in security matters to ably perform his duties. All the president needs is some sort of a daily security and intelligence briefing by the president's senior security personnel. Bagbin's call for security is an indirect appeal to the military to take over the reins of the country. Since the military is well versed in security issues, who needs a civilian president without any knowledge of security issues.
