It is called dumping. We must reduce importation of these chickens and help our poultry farmers with feed subsidies and other incentives to produce more and lowering prices

not only is foreign chicken of higher standards but also more affordable for our populations. please stop complaining you know you are lying go and dupe new investors like the south africans and the dutch.

Protecting local industries especially in the agricultural and manufacturing sectors should be the number one priority of every govt.In the Caribbean it is a no no for any company to import chicken and pork without a special license to do so.Not even the embassy or any foreign consulate is exempted from this law.If any embassy or consulate flout this law every meat is confiscated at the point of entry.

just electric rates are high in Ghana too... my electric bill for 3 bedroom house with 3 computers, washer and dryer is 30$ or 114 cedi..and no lights out..paid after use not pre-paid

All Ghanaian investors, manufacturers (producers) are filthily greedy. Instead of selling their produce at affordable and reasonable price, Mr. Darko and farmers like him have ripped off Ghanaians over the years to make themselves rich. Now that they have stiff competition from importers they are complaining. What is his beef? Those who opt for this "junk foreign chicken", if they fall ill does he pay their medical bills? Greedy ingrates.

It is simple. Produce fertiliser from all the agricultural waste, reduce cost of energy, remove taxes on local industries, increase taxes on imported food. Ghana wud become self - sufficient in food production in no time.

Money is made in USA selling parts...pack of just wings or just breast or legs is much higher..And KFC in Ghana is much higher than America,,going to KFC has not been big deal in USA for 20 years...Most now in low income area have either Taco Bell or Pizza hut in same location..KFC has to compete against the higher priced Zaxbys and Chick fillet and Pop-eyes and Bojangles in my town
