NDC FIGHTING SO HARD TO AVOID BEING IN OPPOSITION
It is my believe we need enlightened people to counter and expose people who believe in doing propaganda. I am supporting Nana Addo’s bid for presidency because of my dislike for those who have swore to use propaganda to have their way. Among all the parties in Ghana the NDC is the party which is very good in propaganda. No doubt they have a position for a Propaganda Secretary. Many of the things its communicators say are half truths or untruths. But it takes enlightened brains to analyze the issues without any grey area for exploitation to expose them. Ant it is because of this I am actively engaged in the political discourse.
The NPP has most of the times been in opposition from the days of Osagyefo. They are people who can cope with being in opposition. Most of their members are involved in business so do not necessarily need to feed on state resources. The same cannot be said about most of the people in the NDC. The only time the NDC has been in opposition was from 2001 to 2008 when President Kufuor was in charge as president. This was a difficult period for most of their people so coming into power in 2009 was a great opportunity to enrich themselves on the resources of the state. Feeding so heavily on the state and trying very hard to avoid going into opposition.
Their communicators are always lashing out at Nana Addo as seeking through every means to be president. The truth is that officials of the NDC led by candidate Mahama are trying so much to avoid opposition by losing the elections. For them it is by hook or crook. They have to find means to rig the elections hence they have to be in bed with the EC. The NDC has become the spokes mouth of the EC, defending where necessary the EC. They have all the explanations on matters concerning the elections. To them every effort must be made to gain electoral advantage.
The NPP really could have won the 2012 elections. Everything was coasting for victory so they went home to sleep. Not long the party and its presidential candidate were caught on the wrong side. It was too late in the day. The only avenue available was to go to the Supreme Court.
I am hoping good lessons have been learnt on this occasion and never again will they go to sleep until the last ballot has been accounted for. I will be in the thick of affairs, God being on our side. The faculties will be engaged to the fullest.
I have learnt with disappointment that the NHIS is collapsing from nobody than a shoemaker. This gentleman assured me that I will know this when I visit the hospital. To him the system during the period of former President Kufuor was far better. He also intimated that the worse the NDC could do was to maintain the level of the scheme if they cannot improve on it. Even this they cannot do and I believe this has been the bane of our country. We consider the provision of infrastructure as progress. This is rather used as an avenue for corruption.
Government has also saddled itself with the provision of jobs instead of providing an enabling environment for the private sector which is better placed and qualified to do this. Most of these jobs are for party faithfuls, family and friends. The known and better approach to recruitment is ignored. The businesses sooner than later begin to have problems because of this deficiency and the taxpayer’s resources go down the drain. The loans contracted to establish these businesses will have to be paid by the taxpayer sometime later. The people who have created the mess would have left the system and enjoying the fortunes they have made.
We need to stand up and be counted. If we sit on the fence without acting, suffering will be the only thing we shall carry. Even God expects His children to always be on the war path let alone expecting the black man to give it on silver platter.
