This is a deliberate misinformation by the reporter. On no occasion did the EC say missing names on the NHIS list sent to the Supreme Court ware an error.In any case how did Abu Ramadan and his lawyers detect that names were missing? At the Supreme Court did Abu Ramadan and his lawyers have the source documents i.e the Forms IA in their possession to go through all the 11 million forms for verification? The Reporter is one of those NPP sponsored journalists who feed wrong information to the public in order to cause trouble in the country. What lawyer Thaddeus Sory representing the EC said was that the seemingly incomplete numbers on the NHIS cards detected by the Lawyers for Abu Ramadan were purely an omission by the EC officers who recorded the details. ON NO OCCASION DID EC MENTIONED MISSING NAMES NEITHER DID FRANK DAVIS REPRESENTING ABU RAMADAN RAISED THAT ISSUE. What Frank Davies said was that, they did not think the list was complete and the Court told them that if they thought the list was incomplete they should sent those names to the EC to be incorporated into the list because the compilation of a credible register is a shared. responsibility. This reporter should be very careful about twisting the english language to satisfy his diabolical agents. If you say EC: Missing names on NHIS list an 'error' means Abu Ramadan produced a list of names of people who registered with the NHIS cards at the court, which names were not found on the list submitted by the EC. But that is not the case; total fallacy!

Can't people see through the diabolic plans of the NPP?
They have been on the EC's neck since the 2012 elections. From Afari Gyan to Charlotte Osei. They formed groups like LET MY VOTE COUNT but turned 180 degrees to deny others votes. They described voltarians as Togolese voters and later go there to canvas for votes. They promised to bring ECOWAS register and up until now Ghanaians haven't seen anything from the NPP. They are now behind Abu Ramadan the fulani man to destroy Ghana. Why are they (including the Supreme court) only interested in the names of NHIA cards users and not minors and deceased names in the register? In any case, what has Charlotte Osei done that shows that she's bidding for the NDC? Is she going to divide herself up to manage all the polling stations as presiding officers or polling assistants?

Why don't you just change the damn register all together? Who's interest is being served protecting this register and going through this needless litigations? Even if the Supreme Court rules to retain the current register, this will still be used by the opposition as a basis to challenge the validity of the election results if they lose the elections. The EC may think it is doing the legal thing by sticking to the current register, but what is legal is not necessary the right thing to do when the peace of the country is at stake.

Actual number of Ghanaians registered overseas less than one-thousandth of official figures. Different polling stations having same serial numbers, and oh, the famous (infamous?) twenty seven zero! One thing for sure - Charlotte Osei was never put there in "error".

Austria's highest court has annulled the result of the presidential election narrowly lost by the candidate of the far-right Freedom Party. The party had challenged the result, saying that postal votes had been improperly handled.

The Freedom Party candidate, Norbert Hofer, lost the election to the former leader of the Greens, Alexander Van der Bellen, by less than a percentage point.

The election will now be re-run.

Announcing the decision, Gerhard Holzinger, head of the Constitutional Court, said: "The challenge brought by Freedom Party leader Heinz-Christian Strache against the 22 May election ... has been upheld."

In two weeks of hearings, lawyers for the Freedom Party argued that postal ballots were illegally handled in 94 out of 117 districts.

It alleged that thousands of votes were opened earlier than permitted under election rules and some were counted by people unauthorised to do so.

The party also claimed to have evidence that some under-16s and foreigners had been allowed to vote.

If elected, Mr Hofer will become the first far-right head of state of an EU country.

His party has based its election campaigns around concern over immigration and falling living standards for the less well-off.

After Britain voted to leave the EU, Mr Hofer said he favoured holding a similar referendum in Austria if the bloc failed to stop centralisation and carry out reforms "within a year".

Last Sunday, he told the Oesterreich newspaper (in German): "If [the EU] evolves in the wrong direction, then, in my opinion, the time has come to ask the Austrians if they still want to be part of it."

His opponent, Mr Van der Bellen, is strongly pro-EU and has spoken of his dream for a border-free "United States of Europe".

Following the court's order to re-run the vote, President Heinz Fischer will be replaced on a temporary basis by three parliamentary officials, including Mr Hofer.

The new election is expected to be held in September or October.

What powers does the Austrian president have?

It is a mostly ceremonial post. But the president does have the power to dissolve the National Council - the more powerful lower house of parliament. That triggers a general election.

The president can only do that once for a particular reason - he cannot use the same grounds to dissolve it again.

It is the chancellor's job to appoint government ministers. And the chancellor has the power to dismiss the government. But ministers have to be formally sworn in by the president.

Strings if qualificationes do not make one competent on a job. It takes awareness, knowledge, skills,experience and values developed in areas of work to ensure competence in the area. The current EC has chains if degrees but she does not have the competence to perform her work. How can she send an error ridden list the the EC if she is that competent in the highly critical national position.
