Does Ghana really need AID from the US with conditionalities?In my candid opinion,the so called AID is just a fraction of what the US takes from ordinary visa applicants.They find flimsy excuses to refuse 1000s of visa applicants so when the said visa fees are given back,its not any for of help or service the US is doing.Again about 15 million west Africans were forcefully taken away to US during the slave trade so any form of AID is just what our forefathers worked for so we deserve it with any conditionalities.Again racism and the killing of black people by white police men in the US should also be addressed by them first before trying to police other countries.Mass surveillance,mass gun violence,distabilisation of democratically elected governments across the world and sponsorship of terrorism should be addressed by US first before they continue playing Mr big man

If the visa fees were as big a revenue generator as you claim to be, they will be begging Ghanaians to apply for them and approve them left and right. Every embassy has to temper entrance into their countries with security in their countries and the drain on their economy and mind you, the Ghanaian Embassies do the same around the world. You should be more upset with the fact that in this day on age we still have a slavery problem in Ghana, it is shameful! I don't care how bad it is in other parts of the world, we Ghanaians know better! Focus your energy on how to help the poor and enslaved Ghanaians rather than your beef for being denied a visa. Ghana needs the aid from the US, the only issue is we the US needs to provide better oversight in how the funds are used because our leaders in government have proven to be untrustworthy with monies intended for the state. Focus your anger in the right direction.

It is not usual within the Ghanaian culture to have a parent send his or her child off to go and live with someone (immediate family member, a sibling, a distant relative, and even unrelated ones) else. On the other hand, this deliberate poaching of kids to go and labour for others without any meaningful compensation besides meals and housing is not something we should either be proud of.

America can threaten us with withholding aid to Ghana but we will turn to others like China to feel in the gap.

I will encourage America to make such threats to nations like India and other Asia countries that also have child-labour practices.

They are human-rights abuses all over the world but only African leaders are brought hunted down like games in and brought before the International Court at the Hague. No one goes to Asia or Latin America to haul in a "game".

Only the worst is good enough for Africa?
