Didn't they accuse President Kufuor of being Gifty Anti boyfrien and that is why he nominated and awarded her a national recognition?

Firstly, the EC Chairperson does not run the EC all alone, and her subordinates, if competent could handle her requisite absence from Office to attend Court sessions.

Meanwhile, the Courts could allow her the flexibility to work out a schedule that would allow the case to proceed without jeopardizing her work at EC.

Now, if Baako is pleading on any other basis, it might be different. But not on the above reasons.

I think it is about time someone taught Ken a hard lesson to curb his pervasive, relentless indiscipline and indecency as a MP.

Weighed against the other proofs of I.Ds, it is difficult to see where for example, the Birth Certificate or Passport ranks higher than the NHIS Card as means of identification. Birth Certificates are now essential in the case of those born fairly recently and even then only now becomes essential because the new mushroom Preparatory Schools requires these for registration of children into their Schools. The vast majority of old timers without Birth Certificates only require one when faced with possibility of travelling outside. Simply put, the Birth Certificate is required to obtain a National Passport whereas the NHIS is an I.D on its own with photograph of the owner.
Any old timer requiring a Birth Certificate simply walks to any Birth Registry with a name written on the back of a piece of paper i.e. the name the person wishes to be called (presumed to be his or her name). No Hospital Cards etc etc is required at all. Birth Certificate is issued in the name of Kofi Manu who has just been returned from UK for not having all information required when subjected to questioning at the Airport. Mr Adjei Boadi has now become Kofi Manu ready to go for another Passport again. This is what money can do but does not make it more legal than the NHIS Card. Since Adjei Boadi wishes no longer to be known as such, he is now Kofi Manu. However, for purposes of identification his bounced Passport, old Birth Certificates are still with him at home. This Ashanti man could soon become an Ewe now known as Godwin Amedume and now on his 10th Birth Certificate and Passport. What, therefore, makes the Birth Certificate and Passports more acceptable as forms of I.Ds at time of obtaining Voters I.D and or voting than the NHIS as Card for identification to obtain Voters I.D Card? With criminal minds, any document could be compromised and therefore there is the second provision at time of voting to stick the thumb in indelible violet ink which does not wipe off in a day.
Ghana and her children are always crying against corrupt politicians but what are we now doing? Spending mother Ghana’s money for an exercise which has practically no merits of any description, i.e. expunging the names of voters who registered with the NHIS Cards. Not a single form of I.D in this world could not be compromised. The illustrious British, U.S.A, Germany etc Passports are being copied by entities within their dominions. And so what does Abu Ramadan actually hope to achieve by this wasteful venture of taking the E.C to task? How in reality did he get pass the Judiciary with this baseless and frivolous case? Is it because Judges normally are bourgeois hence could see errors in anything obtained cheaply or without cost? The most annoying aspect of this frivolous case was that he, Abu Ramadan’s own tiny Party has not got the enduring claim of being an elitist party and so it is hard to understand the motive behind his push and continuous push for this white elephant.
When my name is removed because I registered with NHIS Card, I will then have to go and obtain a fake Birth Certificate in the same name? If I am a foreign national who could as well obtain a Ghanaian Birth Certificate, must I come with my parents to certify my nationality? If a person has passed the hurdle of obtaining the NHIS Card, Driving Licence, Birth Certificate and Passport, what real benefit will be there to go after one particular form of I.D. instead of all of the above – all of which could be obtained genuinely as well as fraudulently. These I.Ds are not in themselves “the all”. The indelible violet ink seals all things on the day of voting.

"To sue or not to sue?" that is the question. The thrust of the case is in packaging of words. Our Society is not ready to hear the word SEX. Sitting Presidents have had all manner of things said about them. Several sexual accusations against former US President Bill Clinton, but he went on to secure a second term. During the tenure of ex President J.A Kufour, all manner of insults were leveled at him. Our own late President John Mills was not spared. Our ex-President J.J. Rawlings have had all manner of things said about him and against him. In the main most of these things are not provable but they are said nonetheless. Our own President , H.E. John Mahama is under barrage of unfounded accusations and even in this particular case he has equally been mentioned. Then we go back to history and ask them why this should be the case. Their answer was simple: UNEASY LIES THE HEAD THAT WEARS THE CROWN. Presidents, Chairmen etc etc as long as they are men will come down with the label CORRUPT stamped on their back. For a woman who is wearing some kind of crown, and in the case of Ms Osei, she is the "Djasetse" "Ga people's King maker". And so she is wearing a crown hence her head will not lie easy. When they have accused men of corruption, they have accused women with the SEX THING. Who in this world, have not heard the expression referring to women board directors that they slept their way to the top. Since this proverbial sleeping way to the top could not happen with an unknown quantity, it must be with the top huncho. lies, lies, and more lies but it comes with the CROWN. When ex-President J.A Kufour was being called names, he did not sue. When our own late President J. Mills was being vilified, he did not sue. On record our siting President President H.E. President J.D Mahama has been described in several quarters as a very tolerant man. It comes with the CROWN. Now, let us look at the case against the EC Chair. Ken most certainly was not a witness to anything and so it was simply "hot air". These hot airs have been blowing over the heads of all men of substance since time. Ms Osei is for a certainty a woman of substance. They will say a thing or two to her or about her. It does not mean they are true and does not equally mean she has to diminish her high office by running to the Courts with a group. That really will be reducing her high office. When they do it to the men with already prepared LOGO "corrupt, thief, mental" they ignore the label and continue with their work. J.j. had his two terms and J.A Kufour had his two terms despite the insults. Naturally we will be inclined to think because it is to do with SEX, WOMANHOOD has been insulted. This is most certainly not true. This is the only label for WOMEN AT THE TOP. Once the sex thing is remove from the neck of progressive women in business or politics, there is nothing left. The man, Ken concealed the word with a French rendition "derrier". This does not call for petitions signed by all women of substance, please. We would be creating and fostering the concept of women being protected. Most progressive women will not like to be treated as needing help to be. The men are getting their boots all the time. If Ms Osei decides she was going to sue despite HER CROWN, it will be solely her decision and never because of abuse on womanhood. Greedy bastards are logos for men in power and in some cases, the labels stick and in some cases unfounded. This is how we have been using our freedom of speech thing. If ever in the history of Ghana, a single women organisation or woman of substance joined herself to this case unnecessarily, they are enforcing a stereotype of the weak woman needing protection or watch before you say something about a woman. You can get away with a man but not with woman. we will all be tested as to fitness for whatever we aspire to. Sexism is not giving something which a woman can do perfectly because she was being looked down upon. Therefore, it is power denied and not mere "had sex for..." this is just like all the "Ghana is so very hard that we are all hearing all the time. Who will say Ghana is not hard, but how hard is personal. If one cares to understand what I am saying it simply comes down to Ms Osei by herself making the decision exclusively to sue because she feels so humiliated. Some can take this sort of nonsense with a pinch of salt - just like that k3k3. A desperate individual can cling unto whatever he can lay his hands on. If Ms Osei could not be bought, then perhaps she got the whole organisation for sex and it could not be from Nana, because Nana has not got the power yet to give anything. I believe ex-President J.A Kufour equally made few high profile women appointments. Were the women spared the logo? The crown of Ms Osei represents her crowning glory for her achievements in commerce and academia. It must come with strength of character and must be stamped with the axiom "my duty without fear or favor". She does not need any women group please.
