After independence all the recruits in the military still had the colonial services , training and awards. During his training most of the officers were still British colonial officer, untill later years where there were a shift in replacement by Ghanaian military officers who have had their training abroad especially in England. But the instructions were still under the colonial guidelines. Our independence did not exempt , jj from the colonial training .Infact , he was trained as a COLONIAL SOLDIER, by COLONIAL INSTRUCTIONS , a brute in the army, an inferior complex that had great influence , on himself and his companions . Today , the army is almost free from the ancient colonial training and presents a more comportement of a disciple force far from the jj's colonial submissive training!

The year was September 1965. Rawlings had just started his final academic year, ie the 1965/66 Academic year at Achimota. He was the overseer of one the dormitories. The first year student had just arrived with their “chop boxes” full of Gari, sardines, shitto and all. These kids had been warned by their parents to make sure those “provisions” , as they were called then, lasted the whole term.

Rawlings was a very poor guy and therefore had no such provisions. Konadu was but the only person who was giving him some of her provisions.
Rawlings hatched a plan to fill his empty chop box with provisions.
As soon as the new students arrived at his dormitory, he lined them up asked for gari from the first. “Senior, I did not bring gari.” He asked for sardines from the next. “Senior, I don’t have sardines.” From the next one, he asked shitto; same response. “Senior, I don’t have shitto.”

Then night came and the exhausted boys fell fast asleep. Rawlings got up and opened their chop boxes. From the one who refused him gari, he took all his gari.
From the one who refused him sardines, he took all his sardines and so on.

The kids woke up the next morning to find out that someone had broken into their boxes and stolen some of their provisions. The kids went to overseer Rawlings to lodge a complaint. “Senior, someone has broken into our chop boxes.” “Did the person take anything? Rawlings asked.
You know what ? The kids couldn’t utter a word because they knew Rawlings had asked them for those very items. How could someone have stolen what you said you didn’t have in the first place?

Konadu's assertion that Rawlings was a bully when he was in school is true. I had to endure his bullying at Achimota school for quite a time. Rescued occasionally by Marcus Deku, a mutual friend.

I was unfortunate to have attended Adabraka St. Joseph school & Achimota school with him.

This is the first time, after all these years, that I
am talking about the bullying behavior of our ex-president. Would accept his apology, if he's courageous enough to give it.

(4)Rawlings Closed all Kwame Nkrumah's State Factories to put them on Diversiture instead on a going-Concern.(5) Former President -Rawlings slapped his Vice President (Kow Arkaah)at a meeting and later caused his demised.etc,etc.Who said Rawlings did not collapsed Ghana!.
