  So Lording Mahama has achieved something in this country of ours as first lady. I have not been following her exploits closely but the only I heard was the witches camp. Just like Naadu who rehabilitated one single primary school. Or it is an award for her term of office as president of that body of lazy African wives who have become rich property owners at the expense of their corrupt and incompetent husbands who are destroying their countries. Failure is no Achievement

  Can someone please explain to me why in Ghana we call those who have received Honorary degrees "Doctor". For example Dr. Lordina Mahama, Dr. Kwame Despite, Dr. Sarpong (used to be the Ashanti Regional Minister), Dr. Kumbalo the IGP and many others. Here in the US we do not call them Doctors or put that in front of their names. That is why it is an Honorary Degree. They did not work to earn them like the real PhD holders do. Obama and his wife have received many of these Honorary degrees but I have never heard any of the being referred to as Dr, Just wondering. Maybe to do with Ghanaian culture or African mentality.
