Dr. Opoku should take the criticism seriously and enlighten his students about how to unearth topics of interest to the general public. No wonder some of them are tagged SOLI SPECIALISTS. IEA should be leading the debate in addition to other areas they have been focusing on. Right now their posture appears to be politically driven.

It is not just political parties and CSO's that have chimed in about the actions or inactions and conduct of the EC.
Traditional authorities, the clergy, and indeed, everybody who matters and Ghanaians in general, have all had cause to say one thing or the other about how the EC is exercising it's mandate and it has never been complementary.
All these various interest groups, the political parties and Ghanaians can all not be wrong and the EC and the NDC alone, would be right. The media therefore cannot be blamed for the obvious deficits, deficiencies and difficulties in accepting how the EC has conducted itself and its affairs so far.
Instead of Madam Charlotte Osei trying to shift focus and attention and tamp down serious reservations Ghanaians have about the conduct and actions of the EC which goes to the very credibility of the EC and the processes involved in the Ghanaian citizenry's right to self-determination for which our democratic dispensation provides, maybe the Charlotte Osei-led EC, would want to listen, have a listening ear and begin to engage in a way and manner that addresses the huge challenges affecting her organization. It is real and shifting responsibility just will not cut it and that is a fact.
