For 19 yrs the NDC could not help our Black Stars quality for any World Cup until Kuffour and his NPP govt came to the nation's rescue. Sports Minister, Mr Yaw Osafo Marfo put good policies in place, like winning bonuses to inspire our players achieve the ultimate results for Ghana. Govt started with $8,000 bonuses, in some matches the players took $10,000 as winning bonus. In the WC-2006 hosted by Germany, Ghana appeared on the world's highest football stage and caused unbelievable surprises. Since NDC's return to power it's has been abuses, threats and discouragement as govt continue to incite Ghanaians against the Black Stars. It's like telling the players to play for free, while govt and its appointees continue to mess the economy. I pity Baba Rahman for his poor comments but I think he said so because he, like many of the Black Stars players are under pressure not to offend anyone. Already, players like Capt Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari and others have become scape goats just for standing on their feet.
