They only want NDC supporters in Ghana Embassies around the world so these wicked people do not want to help Akans in Ghana embassies. They refuse to register NPP supporters to vote but they do register NDC fans as students and diplomats to get more NDC votes. Their belief is that all Akans are NPP unless you can prove otherwise. Ghana Embassy in Ottawa Canada for example is giving Ghana passports to Togolese but refuse to give Ghana passports to real Ghanaians. In addition they sometimes refuse to issue quick visa to Ghanaians holding Canadian passports.

The money we send back home (regardless of whomever we send the money to and whatever it's used for) is even more beneficial to the economy than the foreign aid our government receives from other foreign governments, as no conditions attached to our remittances. As good as this call may sound to every Ghanaian, this is a real political propaganda by this confused minister and a sycophant.How many Ghanaian abroad have been unable to travel to Ghana in times of emergencies just because there are no passports to issue them by our embassies.? How many Ghanaians have to pay bribes at our embassies to get basic services every Ghanaian is entitled to. Lets talk about the attitude of our embassy staff towards Ghanaian travelers-from cheeky remarks to bossy officials.You can take a phone and call the Ghana consulate/embassy in New York ,Washington or London and see how long it will take for someone to answer your call even if you are lucky. Most of the time, you can call for days and nobody will either answer you or return your message.So if there is an emergency situation which Ghana embassy is ready to assist.? Whether we register or not register,Ghana government is not ready to help anybody.They just want to raise money and use it for their personal gains. The government is very corrupt. Nobody was born a thief but it is the environment in which a person was born that determines his/social behaviour. Customer services in Ghana is nothing to write home about and it is this behavior we all carry abroad as part of our work ethics. The way we also behave towards officials in the performance of their duties is sad as if it is a curse to be a public servant. Let an official attempt to sanction an erring worker, all sorts of
insults, invectives, etc will be rained on such official. Let a surbodinate bring something to the attention of a superior officer and heaven will break lose. We are always quick to blame others than ourselves. We are always looking for unorthodox ways of doing things anywhere we find ourselves. Unless we change our psyche, attitudes, behaviors, etc about the way of doing things, no amount of insults will change anything. One thing I like about Nigerians is that irrespective of whatever picture the outside world paints about their, they will defend the country to the hilt. Let us think of what we can do for Ghana to be the society we clamour for than expecting what Ghana can do for us.

Pls Hannah, investigate your Nigerian embassy in Abuja and find out what is happening. Many years back some groups calling themselves Ghana association of Nigeria colluded with the embassy and declared that if you do not belong to the group in any of the states in Nigeria you cannot be registered. Is membership of association a criterion for registration at the embassy? If you go to Abuja for registration they will tell you do not belong to Ghana Association of Nigeria so you will not be registered.

When you go to any embassy without a Ghanaian passport or any identity to proof your nationality, you are referee to a local registered group where the group leader can proof to the embassy that you are a Ghanaian. It is done in many countries. Our brothers and sisters who arrived in Italy through Libya etc, got their Ghanaian passports through these local unions.

Ghana Embassy officials in many countries behave as if they are Gods,and have power over everybody.No one wants to go to Ghana Embassy anywhere of if is avoidable.The officials of the Ghana Embassy in Tripoli,Libya relocated in Valletta,Malta two years ago.Malta's population is just 400,000 with about 100 or so Ghanaians. Ghana is the only i sub-Saharan African country with a diplomatic mission in Malta.No one knows what Ghana Embassy is doing in Malta when we have over 5000 Ghanaians in Liyba.Most Embassies relocated to neighbouring Tunisia and their officials pay regular visits to Tripoli to update themselves.The Ghana Embassy Consular Officer has been to Tripoli only once this year.The Ambassador doesn't bother to visit.The Embassy is now being used as a business centre by charter flight operators who don't pay any tax to the government for using the facility.Under the circumstances,it is not possible for people to register except through some cantekerous Ghanaians who peddle Travel Certificates at cut-throat prices to unsuspecting Ghanaians.Malta is a very expensive country dependent on tourism.One wonders what has become of economic diplomacy since Malta has little to offer.It's a waste of our scant resources to have a mission in Malta.Even the mighty Nigerians and South Africans didn't opt for that !Why Ghana ? Are we that wealthy?

You can call each other names and laugh about it now but when you end up inciting hate here as I read through your posts here and a real civil war starts in your country you will regret what you are doing now. Your religious and political leaders are trying to divide you between religious lines and you are helping them do that rather than standing up and say we are all Ghanaians never mind our tribe, region or religion. That's the only stand that will save your blessed nation. The foreign powers pushing the government to take certain decisions will abandon you when you start killing one another and reject you from running to their countries so be careful. Our 11 year war in Sierra Leone was not even based on religious or tribal difference and see what we did to our country. The worst conflicts are those based on tribal and religious differences. See Central Africa, Bosnia, South Sudan and Rwanda. It is so sad to see ourselves live in a state of fear and panic like this. Ghana is gone to the dogs. Ghana has turned to a murderous state. Three judges were murdered only because they worked hard to protect the integrity of the law courts. A whole president was miraculously murdered by his own vice because the latter was being investigated for taking steps to dupe the country when he John Ford Expedition Dramani Mahama led the processes that committed Ghana to the purchase of the grossly bloated Embraer 190 Aircraft and hanger purchase. In 2008, the Armed Forces had negotiated to acquire a hangar at USD5m. Two years later, Vice President Mahama returns from Rio de Janeiro with a cost of USD 17m, a whopping difference of USD12m. Also truthful is that an extra fuel tank on the Aircraft cost USD8m even as the staircase was said to be worth USD1m; thence the death of the ailing president bringing the investigation to an abrupt end.
That apart, we see some current day parliamentarians and leading members of the opposition party being slaughtered by these same NDC evil devils while the BNI and the police stand and stair or even play a role protecting these criminals. How could we allow ourselves to be overridden by these hardened criminals bent to distort, destroy and disturb the peaceful state we inherited from John Agyekum Kuffuour and NPP? It appears we are under a military rule. John Ford Mahama is playing the role of criminally inclined hypocrite, pretending not to be aware of the foolish things going on in the country. This foolish leader should rather call for these traitorous individuals threatening to kill judges to be slaughtered in full glare of the public in like manner as the normal firing squad only to deter others from engaging is such crazy stupidity.
Alister, Ako Gunn, Maase and all those involved in the plot to kill Supreme Court Judges must be given the whip by means of a firing squad so that this foolishness would cease to exist.

Ghana Embassy officials in many countries behave as if they are Gods,and have power over everybody.No one wants to go to Ghana Embassy anywhere of if is avoidable.The officials of the Ghana Embassy in Tripoli,Libya relocated in Valletta,Malta two years ago.Malta's population is just 400,000 with about 100 or so Ghanaians. Ghana is the only i sub-Saharan African country with a diplomatic mission in Malta.No one knows what Ghana Embassy is doing in Malta when we have over 5000 Ghanaians in Liyba.Most Embassies relocated to neighbouring Tunisia and their officials pay regular visits to Tripoli to update themselves.The Ghana Embassy Consular Officer has been to Tripoli only once this year.The Ambassador doesn't bother to visit.The Embassy is now being used as a business centre by charter flight operators who don't pay any tax to the government for using the facility.Under the circumstances,it is not possible for people to register except through some cantekerous Ghanaians who peddle Travel Certificates at cut-throat prices to unsuspecting Ghanaians.Malta is a very expensive country dependent on tourism.One wonders what has become of economic diplomacy since Malta has little to offer.It's a waste of our scant resources to have a mission in Malta.Even the mighty Nigerians and South Africans didn't opt for that !Why Ghana ? Are we that wealthy?
