He is only seeking to become MP to escape further legal problems with his corruption charges.

This attempt to escape from the Law has become a new thing our political scoundrels have adopted. Hammond did it. Barton Oduro did it. And now, we are witnessing the efforts of this corrupt Abuga Pele to do so, too.

With their stolen money, they then splash cash around to buy votes from the unsuspecting ordinary folks to be sent to Parliament so that their legal woes would be curtailed, and they could later spend their stolen booty in quietude.

What a country! Voters in Pele's constituency must totally reject him and even demand for his retrial and imprisonment. It is time we abrogated the indemnity clause in our Constitution to make it easier to prosecute all MPs and other Government Officials for corruption and other crimes against the Nation. Even the President does not have to be spared. The Indemnity Clause has outlived its usefulness and is blocking Justice to be meted out equally to all.

Long Live Ghana!!!
