Nobody should deceive him or her self that when he or she sits in a radio station and talking he or she is convincing somebody to change his or her mind. Every ghanaian has taken a definative stance based on partisan lines, ethnic considerations and personality outlooks. It seems to me that some commentators like Kwesi Pratt refuse to see the sense of democracy at work. I have always held the believe that Ghana's fourth republic's parliament is the most useless arm of government. MP's do not vote according to their beliefs and conscience. In a parliamentary democracy like the UK, it is accepted that MP's vote in like with parties. Ours is not like that neither is it presidential , however I expect that MP's will always vote in accordance with the beliefs and the last vote is the first time Ghana's parliament under the fourth republic have done something like that since 4 members of the majority side abstained from voting. The constitution needs to be looked into again.

The additional month to the election cycle could cause more disillusionment and more pent up frustration and anger towards the NDC govt from the electorate over the harsh realities on the ground with Ghanaian economic life.What with all the mobilised electric power sources beginning to show cracks in their efficiency of delivery and dumsor exacerbating? A month will lead to more fury from the independent voters who will vent their frustration on the NDC and JDM. On the other hand since the ruling Ndc has deeper pockets with respect to election finance, they have more time to use the media to talk about the progress they have made so far and debunk all the dirt being thrown out there by the opposition NPP.
