The president should be bold to do the right thing to get these guys out of prison,ASAP,we will not lose even a single vote when we get them out of that jail but we could lose some votes if we don't get them out of that place,the court belongs to the judiciary,we are incharge of the executive,they used their power to jail and fine them,let us make that Supreme Court to know that they can jail but we can also use our power vested in us by the people of Ghana to refuse to carry the sentence,we can refuse to even arrest them,we cannot help people who call themselves judges to abuse their powers,it is ridiculous to jail people that way and fine them heavily like that and expect the government to help you go for that lawlessness,if I'm incharge of the police the judges will have to walk to the homes of these people to retrieve that outrageous fines.

The NDC should not overreact on this matter. Yes, the sentences and fines are harsh but NDC accusing the Supreme Court of usurping the powers of the National Media Commission is uncalled for. Moreover, asking for a review of the powers of the Supreme Court and all arms of government is also unnecessary. After all, the loser in any such review will be the presidency and not the Supreme Court.

Anyway,it is a lesson to all party faithfuls, particularly radio presenters and their hosts not to use threatening words against anyone on the airwaves.
In the run up to the December 2016 elections, the custodial sentence for the trio is good for the country. The Supreme Court judges were too lenient, but since they were first offenders, the sentence is quite appropriate.
If ndc faithfuls are not satisfied, they can go to hell.

What did you expect? Did you expect the court to let a homicide intent slide through the cracks after the entire country heard it on radio? Please come to the United States and profess on radio your desire to kill supreme court judges, and see if you'll go unpunished. Ghana's democratic system and/or the rule of law has fallen so low, so low to a point where rejuvenation of which may take a while. Some speak of freedom of speech as though it protects comments of homicide. Regardless of where such comments were/are made or who makes such comments, there is no better way to take such words back. A saddening knowledge is that policy makers and government officials (higher ranks) go unpunished for far worse crimes. To whom are you going to shift blame? We all are to blame. There is far too much lawlessness residing in Ghana, such that it's become a norm. Oh, by the way, yes you can be prosecuted for making homicidal remarks, especially concerning someone as influential as a supreme court judge. Ghanaians need to wake up from that long slumber-- the idea that some crimes should go unpunished.

It is very shameful for leaders of the ruling party to try and condemn the jailing of these criminals if I should call them so, even after making such reckless statements on the radio, the following day Mugabe was on the same radio trying to justify such shameful act. Where were these so called NDC leaders and to a large extent President Mahama. NDC has a history of violence but will always accuse their opponents as the perpetrators of such violent acts. To me these criminals should have been given a much harsher sentence to serve as a warning to those who think because they have power they can abuse it. The whole NDC government should bury their heads in shame instead of trying to defend the indefensible.

I'm so suprise at the posture of the NDC in this montie matter and the comments associated with it,since this guys made the statement the NDC took a stand by not commenting well on the issues.The NDC if they had any regrets on the 3 murded judges in 1982 would've distance and disassociated themselves from the threats this guys made,with this checked history hanging over their neck,they still had the nerve to say the judgement was hash,some people were killed Burt and discarded forever never to come back again,so what's the NDC chairman talking about?,I think the judges should've insisted that the person of the convicts mentioned as Nash who have him a message to the CJ should've been involved because if it's true then that Nash guy is a loose person out there and can carry his orders.This,s where I fault the BNI on the statement they issued insisting that they were harmless,did they invite the Nash guy who's message this guys carried from the ghetto on air?,we should watch things.
