  Even though I strongly believe that the Supreme Court should not have sat on the case the president should not listen to the call to pardon the Montie3.The president should allow their sentences to stay.What are the reasons for the president to exercise the prerogative to pardon criminals here?Nothing should be done to undermine the powers of the courts to punish criminals here.Nobody will disagree that by threatening to kill the supreme court judges a crime was committed.

  People sometimes parading as lawyers are amazing to listen to. What rule of law is this gentleman talking about? We must not encourage threats to people's lives in our country. But which of the rule of laws is this man talking about? Didn't a president repacked the Supreme Court and sent people to jail? Where was this man? Or he hadn't studied law so he didn't know what presidential clemency mean? The President can decide to release them or not and does not need tutorials from this gentleman.

  Was Justice Akuffo not the spokesperson for the NPP during the 2012 election petition?
  That alone casts a very dark shadow on the Montie 3 court trial. And it's just common sense application. The Chief Justice could have easily spared Ghanaians the needless tension arisen of the case if she and our justices at the apex court had though through they would not have put Justice Akuffo on the panel in the first place, not to talk of making her the lead judge.
  Our justice delivery system iNOT independent and not fair. We have several instances where judgements of judges have been later overturned. I mean the list is uncountable. Then the scandal of bribery etc exposed by our investigative journalist Anas.
  This is why whether the President intervenes or NOT, a great harm is already done against the very judiciary that justice Akuffo want to redeem it's seriously stained image. Now Ghanaians are going through a pre-election tension which if not handled properly will spill over into the elections itself. Georgina Wood and her justices could have acted wisely. Time will tell!
