1. Granting pardon will be seen by all as a presidential veto. You see, the case technically is not a crime against the state... It is an insubordination against the Supreme Court. They have directly offended the Supreme Court. Granting a pardon will therefore mean the president supports acts of insubordination against the other arms of government.

2. Granting a presidential pardon will also mean the president is bent on protecting his party men from the grip of laws of the land.

3. Granting presidential pardon will mean the president is being partisan because all those who are calling for it are his party members.

4. Granting presidential pardon will also mean the president lacks sense of judgement because there are more prisoners in our prisons who really qualify for pardon which he hasn't consented to their genuine pleas.

5. Granting presidential pardon will strengthen people with similar tendencies. Similar threats will be heard in most radio stations.

6. Granting presidential pardon may throw the nation into chaos. It will trigger demonstrations and counter demonstrations.

7. Granting such a pardon will subject the nation to international public ridicule and affect the nation's image.

We understand they are speakers for the president's party but I believe nobody from the party asked them to insult and threaten Supreme court judges.

So Mr President, don't listen to anybody to do what is not right. Those calling for the President to grant pardon should stop.

A priest of the Abraham religion is shouting that a person who commits crime in China should not be punished because China is a socialist state, thus does not have the right to punish criminals.
That reminds me of the fuse the Abraham churches make about human right is socialist countries when they support racial segregation laws. It is on record that the person who wrote the racial segregation laws for Southern African English and Dutch apartheid system was a reverend of the Dutch reform church. The laws of the inquisition a period that was know as the dark ages in Europe was written by the Catholic Church and enforced by it.
So from the historical facts the Abraham religions have never been defenders of human freedom, self respect and dignity.
In Africa the Abram religions are foreign religions that defend and protect the interest of imperialism. The Abraham religions have never stood for the people of Africa and the Bishop Abel Muzerewa and Rev. Nbadningi Sitole are clear examples of that.
We wrote on Friday the presidents of Russia, North Korea and U.S. granted amnesty to foreign citizens who were involved in high crime. I wrote the other time that it is a habit of the Ghanaian to laugh when a person falls and even wounded himself. I also wrote that my travel to other parts of the world revealed how people are sympathetic towards a person who falls.
It is said by the same priest that Jesus Christ said that when a person wrongs you you must forgive him seventy times seventy times 4,900 times. So I am at a lost when Rev. Martey turn the very thing he preaches on its head, meaning that it is just a ruse to lead his congregation astray, whiles in reality he does not agree with the words and action of Jesus Christ that he preaches every day. We are well aware that the Church is not against slavery the reason why it is angered when a slave fights for his freedom.

The very minute those Ministers of state appended their signatures to that irresponsible document of a petition, to free those criminally-minded agents of terrorism, genocide and anarchy, the President, John Dramani Mahama should have fired them from office in a noon broadcast.
The fact that it has not happened is, the President John Dramani Mahama believes and approves of the conduct, the inflammable language and the planned actions of the Montie 3, because of the inherent advantage to be gained from the aftermath of that planned action, if they had not been caged by Ghanaians through the authority of the court system, by those violent unstable elements in this country.
It is indeed the height of madness, it is an outrage when executives of the NDC party such as the Ahwoi and Zakour's allow their station to be used as the launching pad for a governance of dictatorship, achieved through violence, murder and assassination of the judiciary and thus, the obliteration of the rule of law and our democracy, by the clear intent, import and purpose of the comments of those Montie 3 and shows inherent complicity from the highest echelons of the NDC party and gov't which conclusion can be drawn from the fact that, democratic political power is predicted as a certainty to change hands this December.
The gross disrespect, the monumental disregard and the brazen spectacle of this level of impunity against the rule of law and our democracy, the right to self-determination, the right to choose who is eminently qualified to lead this country has never been assaulted in such an egregious fashion, given the fact that Ghana has come a very long way from a history of such reckless elements in our dignified society. It is an outrage, an attack on our human values and the decency of the Ghanaian spirit within the context of our democracy and it must be roundly, strongly and stringently condemned in this country. Ghana condemns this despicable bastion of recklessness, violence, chaos, anarchy, murder and assassinations which the Montie 3 and the NDC represents. It has no place in our society and completely and totally wrong.

I don't know the message you preach to your congregants. What I know is that The Lord Jesus Christ called us to preach the message of love, forgiveness and restoration. Your behaviour does not depict the character of Christ to say the least. Yes the montie 3 did something very irresponsible but are you saying they are beyond pardon and forgiveness? Our Lord thought us to pray " Forgive us our trespasses as WE forgive those who trespass against us". These people admit their guilt and asked for forgiveness which was not granted what a supposed man of God should do is to show them love, encouragement and pray for them as they go through their ordeal. To describe those who are calling for clemency as nation wreckers showed how hateful you are towards certain group of people in this country. Your selective neutrality speaks volumes of you. A man of God shuold not talk and behave like this.

Just as a reminder,the ruling NDC Administration caused the arrest, trial and imprisonment of a freelance journalist, George Nakene for publishing the truth in his private newspaper in the early1990s. The evil and opportunistic NDC, unrivalled in the peddling of lies and misinformation misquoted Dr Kofi Abrefa Busia, former Prime Minister for political expediency. George knew Ghanaians were being shortchanged so he went to the National Archives to fact check history. He found the said speech and published it to correct the misinformation. The NDC also went to the National Archives, took out page10 of Dr Busia's speech and re-typed it with corrections to misrepresent the former PM. Remember that the type settings and the typing papers used in 1969 and 1993 were over two decades apart and that's what gave the NDC away as liars. Every sane Ghanaian knew what the NDC was up to. The case went to court and with all the evidence before him, the judge chickened out and said in his ruling that "The truth does not matter" and sent a disappointed George to jail to the utter bewilderment of sane and fair minded Ghanaians. Two more decades later the NDC do not have that evil influence over judges any more so instead of accepting the ruling by the highest court in the land they've chosen to remember their horrific past and have issued threats against the judges. People, we cannot revisit the horrific and lawless past. The NDC are proving to Ghanaians that the leopard cannot change its spots and the NDC which murdered three High Court Judges is unchanged and unrepentant and still yelling out death threats to judges who don't rule in their favor. Never again! Say no to NDC in December.

He should have come out right at the beginning when the calls went for his pardon to say clearly that the courts have spoken and he will not pardon anyone. That would have stopped the trooping of his ministers and others to sign the petition.

By failing to act decisively and timely, he has fed the flames.

Or maybe his strategy is to divert attention from the real problems in the country by having people debate the pardon??
