Let's be very, very clear on that. Nobody in this country is above the law and the Constitution of Ghana. The violent extremists and anarchists with their murderous wish with the view to supplant our democracy and impose a dictatorship of self-serving nationwreckers just suffered a severe and screeching halt, as it should be and Ghanaians condemn any person or group that has appended their signature to that document of anarchy.

He should have come out right at the beginning when the calls went for his pardon to say clearly that the courts have spoken and he will not pardon anyone. That would have stopped the trooping of his ministers and others to sign the petition.

By failing to act decisively and timely, he has fed the flames.

Or maybe his strategy is to divert attention from the real problems in the country by having people the pardon??

He should have come out right at the beginning when the calls went for his pardon to say clearly that the courts have spoken and he will not pardon anyone. That would have stopped the trooping of his ministers and others to sign the petition.

“… What the three people (the contemnors) did, they didn’t do well and the judges had all the right to do anything to sentence them…but at the end of the day we are all humans and then looking at the tension around [with] the Homowo [festival almost due and with] elections around the corner, [there is the need for the judges to reconsider their decision].
