Well,Kufour's government as the government of the day will have to take part of the blame since the airline collapsed on their heads, but the airline was largely destroyed long before that government came to power by the greedy officials as you have stated.
That airline was one of the most useless airlines ever operated in the world,the officials were so corrupt that passengers who paid for tickets were denied boarding while those corrupt officials could go on the flight with their family members and girlfriends free of charge,the airline was having some who called themselves Senior Staff Association members operating club houses,having bungalows and many outrageous benefits.
Which airline can survive with that practice?

I hope no future Ghanaian airline will do what Ghana Airways did,that airline was a disgrace to the Airline industry.

Those aircraft he claims to have claims to have when were they inspected by GCAA. Fellow Ghanaian I know you are anxious to have an Airline but do not allow your self to be fooled by this Bannerman. The U.S. FAA nor BWI airport has ever heard of Goldstar Airlines.

Further, there are no aircraft leasing companies - anywhere in Europe - who have heard of, or done business with - Goldstar Airlines.

This could be a bigger scam - than GIA was.

Have you thought about we the unemployment here in Ghana,so what I expect you to say is Mr Mahama should rather give assistance to them and that can solve part of the unemployment situation. “About Ninety percent of the work is done and the only Ten percent is for the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority to issue us the license and go with us to inspect the aircrafts, stating that the inspection fee have already been paid”, Mr. Bannerman confirmed.

Do you know what goes on behind the scene? How often do you attend meetings with the CEO and GCAA? If I didn't know better, i would think you don't Ghana to have its own airline. Not to worry, God will surprise you. You should be ashamed of yourself for such negative remarks when you don't know the facts. News flash, not everyone thinks like you and I'm happy to say that not just Ghanaians are going to benefit from Goldstar Air. Lots of other nationalities are waiting for it.
