It is very important for women of substance to see themselves as such. They are individuals that have crossed the gender barrier. A threat is a threat, not because it was made against a woman. There are very many concerned individuals who have reason to believe that the so-called contemenors are as harmless as toothless bull dog. Mugabe is simply a tough talking Journalist and has been known for such. Kwasi Pratt has been tough talking Journalist and he has been known for such. Kweku Baako has been tough talking Journalist and he has been known as such. They support matches and harmless protests, but to jail them? I strongly believe if they are hard cases with record to prove, Ghanaians will know. There is loose talk which sometimes can go over board. This is what Ghana is witnessing here. Sentencing people for simply loose talk is very sad for justice. Each time, two persons in a fist fight threaten killing each other, the sentencing machine must be switched on. In a situation like we have on our hand, it is drawing sympathy from all walks of life and not only Ministers. What must worry us the ordinary citizenry is the Supreme court's powers to prosecute, be the jury and judge at the same time. That is massive power for a prank that went sour. And believe it PRANKS CAN GO VERY SOUR INDEED. Many have hanged themselves in error. That is what the BNI exists to do, i.e examine, acquit or charge. But when the powers of the BNI got eroded and dumped in the bin for ONE SERIOUS PRANK, Ministers signing petitions must not worry us.

When I saw where this woman was signing this petition, I could not believe what I was seeing and reading. For someone who has devoted a lot of her time, energy, professional life fighting for gender equality to suddenly turn around and throw all that away for the sake of political expediency is mind boggling. I remember saluting this woman when she came out forcefully to chastise The MP who criticized the EC. Is the CJ not a woman. Oye Lither made it seem like he had attacked all women. Making statements that basically said she was not going to stand by and let anyone denigrate working women and so on and so forth. What has changed? Just one thing. The ones doing the insult in this case are NDC members. This woman has no conscience. I remember Ms Ursula saying that Oye Lither has politicized the fight for gender equality by organizing women to go after Kennedy Agyepong. Well, it turns out she was absolutely right. This woman should resign because she does not fight for all women, only women of certain political persuasions. When you take into account her treatment of the Director in her Ministry, and this recent episode, there is no other conclusion but that this woman is a hypocrite of the highest order. She is not going to resign or even read any of these comments and that is rather sad. The woman has no honor and she is a disgrace to her gender and to humanity.
