The Chief Justice, Mrs. Georgina Theodora Wood and the six others who nullified the use of NHIS cards for registration and voting purposes should be prosecuted and jailed. All this confusion in the country with respect to the jailed Montie 3 emanated from the Supreme Court usurping the powers of Parliament and Electoral Commission.During the Abu Ramadan suit, the Supreme Court Judges deliberately passed a law on that day and for the law to take retroactive effect. Article 107 (b) which I produce partly here verbatim is clear: 'RETROACTIVE LEGISLATION: Parliament shall have no power to pass any law -
(a) ......................
(b) which operates retrospectively to impose any limitations on or to adversely affect the personal rights and liberties of any person or to impose a burden, obligations .......'.
It should be noted that the primary functions of the Supreme Court are as follows:
1. Original jurisdiction for the interpretation of the constitution.
2. Final appellate jurisdiction over all cases, civil and criminal
3.Now we have been made aware by the Supreme Court that they also have original jurisdiction over CONTEMPT cases: no wonder the Montie 3 case was solely decided by them with prison sentences and fines imposed!
It should be noted that LAW making is not their business; Law making is the prerogative of Parliament. The Supreme Court therefore has no pewer to annul a law passed by parliament; what the Supreme Court can do is to ask parliament to to review any law made that is inconsistent with the Constitution. It is surprising that the prominent lawyers in our country are not standing up to condemn the retrospective law made by the Supreme Court Judges. We all know that in passing judgements Supreme Court makes laws which should be followed by the courts below them i.e stare decisis. These so called laws made by them (case laws) do not take precedence over laws passed by parliament. In 2010 or thereabout, parliament passed a law that for the purposes of electoral registration and voting purposes, the following documents could be used:
a. Previous voters' card
2. Passports
3 NHIS cards
4, Birth Certificates
5 Drivers Licence.
6. National Identification Cards
During the 2012 elections, some Ghanaians used voters cards registered with the NHIS cards which was lawful. Now Dr. Bawumiah running mate for Nana Akufo Addo of the NDC, out of the blue came out to say the NPP had evidence which evidence proved that aliens, particularly Togolese are on our register and those Togolese used NHIS cards to register.He continued by saying that out of the 10% of the work done, the NPP had discovered 78,000 of non-Ghanaians on the EC voters register. This means after the completion of their word they would have discovered 780,000 non-Ghanaians on the voters register. Abu Ramadan, LMVC made a lot of noise and eventually the case went to court.Instead of the Law Lords banning the use of the NHIS cards if they thought the cards could no be used with effect from the date they took their decision, they banned the use of the cards retrospectively asking the EC to delete all registrants who used the NHIS cards! That was a total breach of the 1992 constitution which prohibits laws make to take effect from a previous date.All these confusion in the country now emanated from the Supreme Court. This is exactly what the Montie 3 tried to expose and of course they made certain unfortunate allegedly criminal pronouncements for which they have apologised.
The president, Mr. John Mahama should look into this matter prosecute the 7 Supreme Court Judges for high treason for passing retroactive laws forbidden by the constitution. The Montie3 issue would not have arisen if they did not pass the retroactive law which was unconstitutional.

We all do make mistakes daily and apologize but it is very inhuman to pray that a sinner should not be forgiven. This unforgiving spirit is very dangerous for our nation. We should find out why and the underlying factor that many countries went to war and some still fighting.Entering a prison alone is traumatic enough for talking. What haven't we heard before?

When judges who should dispense justice fairly and format took money, goats, sheep, sexual demands, etc, as bribes to pervert justice were the voices of these personalities lost ? If you ve lazy lawyers like Nana Ato Dazie and George Loh what good can you get?i think they pleaded guilty to the charges knowing very well that the president is there to complete their job for them,otherwise why?as soon as they came out of the court,he granted an interview ruled out chances of review and went straight to indicate that the only way was to petition the president to grant them pardon.I remember the election petition in 2012 where he was running his mauth after each sitting until the court told them to be careful the way they were commenting on the matter,how did Nana Ato Daazie felt when people said the 2012 verdict was a procured one?what he's openly asking the president to do ll go to confirm that allegations if he doesn't know.Just recently he again goofed on the Abacha bribe to Rawlings matter when he issued a joint statement with Kwamena Ahoi,who doent know that you guys became what you re because of Mr Rawlings?to pretend to be more holier than thou is just crazy and an act of disloyalty,ungratefulness and tribalistic.

The law of contempt has been hype to the extend that, even lawyers find it difficult to even defend it in court. Let lawyer Adofo quote me an article in the Constitution or even a CI that band individuals, especially lawyers from signing this kind of petition. We've have enough of these cooked lawyers who hide behave the law to work for their pay masters. What do lawyers fight over something that they themselves should protect. Today the gun is pointing on your opponent, tomorrow the trigger could be on the other side pointing at you.
